To split a crankshaft usually requires a motor engineering shop, who will press it apart and reassemble and balance it.
You dont mean split the crankcase?

I have a 1987 Kawasaki js550 Jet Ski with low compression. it has 170 in the front piston and 50 in the back what could be done besides having a stuck piston ring?

You will have to pull the engine out and rebuild the top end. You will probably have to bore the cylinders. Purchase a piston kit that comes with gaskets and seals. Reseal the crankshaft with the new seals and your motor should be good for another 23 years.

Leaking crankshaft seal

The manual on the 750 says put new seals on the crank as you install it, and I believe they have a locating lip on the seal that fits in a groove in the cases. which means a split.

I have trimmed the lip off the seal, and installed them with loctite master gasket, the old seal is hard to remove due to the lip

when you unbolt the cam it should slide out of the chain let the chain fall down the cylinders.. pull the cylinders off, split the casses take the crank out and it should come off

How to remove lower bearing on connecting rod in a yamaha yz125.

I'm not 100% sure because I have'nt had much dealings with yamaha dirtbikes but I do know that on Hondas and Kawasakis there are no rod caps to remove the rod from the crank, the crankshaft actually splits and the rod slips off. They are a very tight press fit and have to be reassemled perfectly or it will throw the whole balance of the engine off. I recommend taking it to the dealer and letting them do it. I know that on my Honda CR 125 instead of trying to replace the lower rod bearing I was able to purchase a crankshaft with a new rod already attached. Hope this was helpful.

Hi does the gpz 900r have the same crankshaft as the gpz 1000 rx . Thanks

No but there is not much between them if i remeber right the cam lobes are slightly bigger which would give you more air and fuel which maybe be detrimental. check cam lobe sizes in the haynes manual for 900 and 1000 and compare

1987 kdx fly wheel

The 125 uses an internal flywheel, if the flywheel you are asking about looks the same, meaning the magnets will be in the same location when you look at the timing marks on the flywheel. The woodruff key is used to make sure you put the flywheel on in the same place after removal. The 1/2 degree difference in the shaft tapers, (7degrees on crankshaft, 6.5 degrees on the flywheel), is what holds the flywheel in place.
