Use a noid light to show pulse at plugwire,or just unplug a sparkplug wiire plug it to a extra sparkplug let it ground on metal(frame or engine) spin the engine over watch for a spark on the plug, red is a weak spark blue is good.

power comes from the ignition switch, through the kill switch then to the coil.fuses in the fuse panel and on the start relay suply power, just test for the spark using an extra sparkplug on each of the plugwires, let them be grounded and spin it over, watch for blue spark,(red or orange color is not very strong)

Headlights on my2011 Suzuki burgman 400 stopped working

Hi, Amanda if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil.
11. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

1981 Suzuki gn400 no spark

I know it sounds silly, but have you checked your earth or ground wiring. If not earthed this type of problem can occur. Did the bike run before you replaced your coil etc? You could have a crook CDI
are you using multi meter mate for correct voltage readings?

No spark on 1 2 3and 4 sillinder coils test ok RF 400 R year 96

test for battery voltage at the coils on the orange/white wire. Also check for battery voltage at the CDI module on the orange/white wire. If voltage is present the most common failure is the signal generator (aka pulser coil)

Noise in startermotor/alternator cause wiring to get hot

It sounds very much like the voltage regulator is faulty, when the voltage supply is not regulated the wires will get hot. Get a Multimeter and check the voltage flowing into the battery, it should not read more that 14V even with the headlights on or off. Use the leads directly on the Battery poles + to + etc. It could also be a faulty Alternator, eventually it will fail and probably cook the Battery as well.
