After having soaked the friction plates as required first install the narrow friction plate on the clutch hub, engaging the tabs on this plate with the slots in the clutch shell then install the damper spring seat (sometimes called a judder spring) on the clutch hub so that it sits inboard of the previously installed narrow friction plate with the concave side out (facing away from damper spring
seat) (that will be with the narrow side facing into the clutch hub and the wider side facing out) THEN install a steel plate with the round edge (produced when the plate was stamped out from a larger piece of steel) outward and then install a regular friction plate onto the clutch hub and continue by installing the seven remaining sets of steel and fibre plates in the same manner, alternating between steel plates and friction plates so that no two steel are touching each other and so that no two fibre plates are touching each other and then when they are all in place install the pressure plate onto the clutch hub aligning holes in the plate with the threaded bosses on the hub. THEN install and seat the diaphragm spring into the recess of the pressure plate with the concave side inward and with the holes in the diaphragm spring retainer aligned with the threaded bosses on the clutch hub tabs on the spring retainer contact flats on the inboard side of the bosses install the six metric bolts to secure the diaphragm spring retainer to the clutch hub and alternately tighten the bolts to 90-110 in-lbs (10.2-12.4 Nm).

I need a manual for a singer touch and sew machine. It,s pretty old so i gope you can help me. I don,t know how to wind the bobbin. Help!!

Unlikely you will get a manual but here are the instructions.
Presser foot up, thread the top of the machine as normal all the way and through the needle, open slide plate, push the little button to the side and the winder will raise, take the thread from the needle and wind it round a few times round the screw that holds the presser foot on, gently press on the foot control and the needle will go up and down winding the bobbin, when you have enough thread on the bobbin close the slide plate and you will hear the winder drop down, pull the thread to the back of the machine and you are ready to sew

Engine off shifts engine on grinds when putting in gear

The clutch plate can only be fitted one way. If you noticed one side of the plate has a raised section that contains springs. The other side is flat. Puting the plate the wrong way round allows the raised section to hit the heads of the flywheel bolts and this is causing the clutch to spin even though you have the foot on the clutch. Make sure you have properly bled the air from the clutch system. Mostly there is a notice printed on the clutch plate which reads like flywheel side or this side away from flywheel

Unfortunately, it sounds like your pressure plate is going bad. That is the larger part in the following picture. When you depress the clutch pedal it pushes the throw out bearing (the smallest round part) against those center "feelers" and that disconnects the clutch (the next size down round plate) from your engine flywheel.

Normally you would replace all three parts at the same time.

How do i change clutch release arm

I believe the arm is on top of the case on the left hand side attached to a shaft that goes into the case. It also may have a bolt in the side of the case below the arm that has a machined shoulder on it to retain the shaft from pulling out. If it does, remove it.If this is the way it's set up, it actuates the clutch thru a rod that goes all the way across the motor inside the hollow shaft that the clutch is mounted on. I don't have specific experience to the 250 KX, but I've been in the little ones and that's the way they're set up. So here's what you do-
Drain the gear oil and remove the round clutch cover on the right side of the bike. Remove the 5 or 6 washered bolts and the springs from the clutch pressure plate. Remove the pressure plate and you'll see the clutch lifter-it's a short rod with a flat bearing on it located in the middle of the clutch shaft. Remove it and using a small magnet tool go inside the hollow shaft and retrieve the actuating rod. There may be a ball bearing with it as well, although I don't think there is in that bike. Anyway, don't lose it if it has one and pay attention to which end of the shaft goes to the clutch arm. You can now replace the arm. When your putting it back together, rotate the arm with your fingers and make sure the lifter is moving up and down before you put the pressure plate and springs back in. Good luck!

Put clutch into gear but no movement

Replacing the clutch is fairly easy on most motorcycles. A factory repair manual is helpful and suggested, but in a nutshell, here's the proceedure.
There is a round cover on the right side of the engine, this is the clutch cover. After draining the oil, remove the cover and this will expose the clutch pressure plate that will be retained with a number of washered bolts and springs. Remove the pressure plate, and the clutch plates can be removed. There will be alternating friction and steel plates-remove them all and keep them in a stack in the order they were removed. Soak the new friction plates in oil before installation. Install the new plates starting and ending with friction, alternating a steel plate in between.Be aware that some motorcycles have a different first and last friction plate, your parts dealer should know that when you buy the parts.
After it's stacked reinstall pressure plate with new springs, bottom out the washered bolts and no additional torque is required. Reinstall cover with new gasket, fill with oil and adjust clutch lever so it has enough slack to slide a quarter in between the lever and perch. Good luck!

Cannot align clutch plate with gearbox imput shaft on my 1985 r80

you may have the wrong clutch plate try it on the input slines first or its just not centerd right try using a bit of round wood with tape round it to line up the clutch plate first also check that there is no little burrs on the shaft or clutch plate stoping it going in to place and put a smigin of grees on the gear box splines the clutch plate must slide easly on the shaft before you fit it in or the clutch may start sliping on you,

Which way does the clutch go on a 94 Jetta? Does the flat side of the clutch go towards the engine?

if you mean the outer cover or pressure plate, then yes. The inner disc, or friction plate usually works either way round but the cover can only be fitted with the flat side towards the engine.

It is a fiddle but drop the l/h side of the subframe down, pull the shafts, jack the engine a bit and seperate the box and you can just unbolt the cover plate, slide it back and lift out the centre plate, then the cover plate comes out, you have to align the new ones by feeling the alignment in the 3 gaps round the edge, fiddly but save a heap of time
