I suspect the battery doesnt have enough power available.(weak or dead cell)or poor contact at the frame on ground. Also All fuses need to be tested not just looked at...

Turn key on, nothing, doesnt turn over,no headlights, dome lights, nothing, new battery, good conections,no power to car

Assuming the battery is fully charged, it could be a bad connection, a bad battery cable, or a blow main fuse.
It also depends on the make model and year.

With ignition key turned on instrument panel light up but only a faint click heard. new battery

Sounds like you may have a bad starter or solenoid on the starter. But before you pull the starter do this check, turn the headlights on and then turn the key to start while someone is looking at the headlights, if they go out then check the new battery and make sure it is fully charged. If the headlights don't dim down or go out and you are still hearing a click then you will want to check the starter and solenoid because it must be getting power or else the solenoid would not be kicking in. Hope this helps.

Car will not turn on like battery is dead but battery has full charge

type and year of is helpful so we`ll go generic----start by checking the connections at battery for corrosion or damage if good than check power to starter if none check wiring and connections also check power from ignition switch as well as fuses.also try turning key to accessory step on brake and move shifter to neutral than try starting if starts shifter may be out of adjustment or damaged this would be your basic troubleshooting for dead type battery when battery is fully charged but always recheck your battery that it is fully charged

Turn key lost all power

Clean and tighten battery cable connections and check battery ground, engine ground-should be a ground strap from engine to the body or frame. If this happens and you have nothing, no headlights, nothing-it's almost certainly a problem at or right off the battery.

Car won't start

Anything is possible, but I doubt the new battery has failed.
Chances are the alternator is not charging the battery.
The alternator should be able to power the headlights and engine once it starts.
You also need to know why the battery went dead overnight.

1994 mercury villager stalled while driving and will not restart a new starter has already been put on previously to this

Ok, I am assuming that your BATTERY is fully charged and has at least a 12.5 volt reading with a voltmeter. and that the BATTERY connections are CLEAN and TIGHT. You can usually tell if the BATTERY is up to a good charge if; you turn on your headlights and they are bright and clear. If they are dull and almost yellow looking, then you either have an undercharged or bad BATTERY or a bad connection somewhere; this could be anywhere between the BATTERY terminal and the starter. Make sure to Check the BATTERY GROUND connections very good at the BATTERY and where it connects at the frame of the vehicle. Also, if your BATTERY is fully charged, turn your headlights on and turn the key to the START position and look at the headlights, they should only dim a small amount; if they go out completely or almost dark, there is another electrical problem that is keeping the vehicle from starting. If all looks good with the BATTERY and connections and the motor still won't start, you could have an engine problem. Please state whether or not the engine will TURN OVER when you try to start it, that can make a difference for the diagnosis.

The battery/ brake light was caused by the alternator. so make sure the battery is good and good connections. turn the headlights on and be sure they are bright.

Unable to start but lights came on battery is said to not be the problem then tried module but states a new battery was put in because it wont hold the charge still do not know what the problems is

sounds like a bad starter, test for power with a testlight, have someone crank the engine while you check for power at starter , the small wire should have power when key is in start position. if theres power then replace starter, hope this helps good luck.

Pontiac Tempest shuts off once I turn on my headlights

Investigate the battery and the alternator.
The battery's only job is to start the car.
The alternator's job is to power the electrical supply for the car.

The battery can go bad at any time, and the alternator is probably is putting out only enough electricity to only keep the car running. And not enough to power charge the battery and power the headlights.
