Dirt bike doesn't have power have to hold it full throttle just to get it to putt along in 1st

Hi, Pauly for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Have a 70cc dirtbike with a mikuni carb. Only way the engine will continue to run is if the choke is completely on. Even after complete warmup, the minute u start to take it off choke it stalls. Put the...

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, the described problem indicates a clogged idle jet. Fix calls for a carb pulldown, cleaning and soaking of non-rubber parts in carb cleaner. A can of compressed air would be helpful in blowing sand, dirt, grit and varnish like film off the components. Exercise care and caution on the small springs, washers, spacers and o-rings. If the air idle mix screw would be removed, count the number of turns from fully in.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Idling the bike, wont hold an idle

It sounds as if you have dirt in your fuel line or some bad gas.
I would recommend draining your tank and cleaning it, then replace your fuel filter.
