When the bike is in gear or neutral it rolls freely and when i engage the clutch it makes a noise. what may be the problem

there is a small thrust bearing that comes into play between the clutch cable and the pressure plate fingers ( throw out bearing in a car)
with no noise in neutral or in gear, it suggests that when that bearing is under load it is failing
