I am a begginer on sewing and would like to know a book that can tell me how to set my tension for certian materials? where can I get this type information? I think I can figure out how to put things together but the tension is another matter :)

Sewing machines like the XR-65 should not get oiled by their user. They have sealed bearings. If you suspect a problem with the bearings or other moving parts, you should take the sewing machine to a good sewing machine repair person.
Generally, when the manual gives no lubrication directions, don't add oil. Electronic sewing machines can easily be damaged if excess oil gets into the wrong part of the machine.

yes,it's worth the money to replace the feet,, & buying a new or used sewing machine as a back up is good too
insert the bobbin so the thread comes out in the middle a away from you, hold the thread end push the bobbin down with with your finger, and pass the thread securely through the thread cutting groove
