Question about 2005 Harley Davidson FXDL - FXDLI Dyna Low Rider
There should be a drain plug on the trailing side of the slider. Some have cross point screwdriver heads on the plug others have allen or hex head plugs. Remove the plug and work the forks up and down. If all fails, you can remove the entire tube and turn it upside down.

You have to remove the top fork nuts and then drain through the lower drain screw on each fork slider. fill through the top of the forks. be careful the inner springs of the fork tube are under compression when you remove and replace the fork top nuts. installing the fork nuts will take two people due to the spring compression needed. check your shop manual for proper amt of fluid need for each fork tube.

their is a Philip screw on the bottom of your fork remove it...and baby its in tight! some times its just easier to fit some vise grips on it. Will mar the screw head. But you can buy another one at HD..then unscrew the top of the fork. It takes a special tool or use a 1 inch wrench..Not common is average joe toolbox. Then you need to put 30 weight fork oil in ur bike. I dont have the amount off the top of my head i always look in service manual.

remove the drain plug from the oil pan, you will need either a 3/4" box wrench or a 5/8" box wrench and the drain plug will be facing forward on the the oil pan. It is easiest to remove this drain plug from under the right side of the bike. put drain plug back in after about 10 m,inutes of drain time and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. Dont forget to change the oil filter as well.

The oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. Two drain plugs. The center one is the transmission drain, the one towards the front on the left side is engine oil drain.
