I have a 1988 honda cb 125 twinn with electric start and i cant turn of with the key. nothing works before i turn the ignition on as it shuld. and every thing works fine once on. it starts fine i just have to stall it to turn it off it will start without the key if you bump it which is not good. i presume power is still going to coils. any ideas how to fix. thanks
It does not have a kill switch?
starting point would to look at starter wires to key switch see if they are pinched in the gas tank area or in the handle bars,
if all looks good replace the switch

nope no kill switch. wire harnes is fine no pinches anywere i did find a loose wire behind the light and fixed it but the problem is not resolved so any other ideas thanks.
also does any one know were i can get new needles for my speedo/rev thanks
turns out it was a black earth wire on the plug from the bike to the the ignition that was not conecting its weard to think that to stop the engine you have to short the electrics. when i turn the key to off position it earths the firing system to the frame and kills the engin and symple.
