Dash brake light means there is a problem in the hydralic portion of your break system ( This is serious stuff) It could be that the foot or handle parking brake switch is loose. (not likely in your case) bring it to a repair shop ASAP and have themcheck it out. If the resoviour is low that a good indicator that you have a leak (this will set off the lite) or your pads are low.

You need to adjust the brake light switch (located in the pedal box (drivers foot well) ) The switch should only function after a reasonable amount of pedal travel and a slight adjustment will correct this . Good luck

I have 98 toyota corolla ce and the headlights stay on everytime i turn the engine on...my question is how can i turn them off in the daytime???

In Canada it's mandatory to have DRL(Daytime Running Lights). Your Corolla probably has this feature built in. it is a safety thing however I can understand you wanting them off if it's not the law where you live.
In our 1998 Corolla, I use the parking brake all the time - every time I park - and I've noticed the lights do not come on until I release the parking brake after starting the motor. When I park the car, until I shut off the engine, the lights stay on regardless of the parking brake status however, if I shut off the engine and restart with the parking brake on, the lights do not come on.
If you "adjust' the parking brake switch(i.e.: make e-brake light in your dash it stay on all the time) your lights will not go on until you turn them on via the multifunction lever(left side of wheel). This of course negates the benefits of the e-brake light working correctly (warning you that your e-brake is on or that your brake fluid level is low) which in itself is not so safe!
There is a fuse/relay (I think) in the big fusebox under the hood that has a DRL "spot", you might want to check if you can remove it and still turn the lights on manually when you want them on. Alternately, there is a fuse in the interior fuse box(in Canadian models anyway) labelled DRL. When that fuse is out, it seems the lights only turn ob when I turn them on manually.
Hope this helps and God bless,
Gilbert

Every time i turn off my 98 Jeep Cherokee, the brake lights stay on until i step on the brake. Then they turn off. Is this normal or is something not right?

It is not normal. I would say your break switch is sticking. There is a button on the end that sometimes gets stuck. It turns your brake lights on and off.

Brack light comes on and stays on i have unplugged the module and it stays off a short time and comes back on.the otheer day the brake light started blinking

In addition to indicating when your parking brake is applied, the brake light is also a fault warning. There is probably someting wrong with your brakes, or at least your car thinks something is wrong. You should inspect the brake system, especially looking for any fluid leaking either at the wheels or in front of the driver seat under the car. Also check the brake fluid reservoir. Let us know what you find out.

I have a 2003 nissan xterra...can't get the idiot lights for the airbag and check engine soon to go off...and the keyless entry will not work, battery in the keyless has been changed and the vehicle has...

Take it to a different shop. Something is wrong with it. However, when the airbag light is on, that means the airbag will not deploy in an accident. You should have that fixed first. The dealership is the best option for making the keyless entry work. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.

The tail or brake lights on my 2002 dodge intrepid stay on afer d

Possibly that the brake light switch - it tells the lights to go on when you step on the brake - is bad and keeps that lights on all the time. Also bad if you'd be driving and drivers think you have the brake on all the time.

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and the lights stay on when my brake controller is plugged in, even if the vehicle is off and there are no keys. What could be wrong

I know that chevy vehicles in 04 and up have the lights stay on for about 1 minute until they turn off. Now if your lights stay longer than a minute then you can have the wires cross at some juncture
