If the BCM detects a low tire pressure condition, a variation in pressure between 2*tires on the same axle, or a malfunction in the system, it will send a serial data message to the instrument cluster. Hope this helps!
sound like two problems service tire light and check engine light.have vechicle code scan and put air in all four tires make sure put correct amount air pressure in all four tires.
Hi, check all tire pressures, they need to be as close as possible to what the door panel/jam list for recommend inflation psi. If not this service tire monitor will light on dash.
If all tires are properly inflated you have 1 or more bad tire pressure monitors in your wheels. Will need to hook up to a tire pressure monitor scanner & it will tell you which one is bad. They are connected to the bottom of your valve stem in every wheel.
That means a sensor has detected either a low pressure situation in one or more of your tires or it is time to replace your tires. In any case, you need to bring your vehicle to a shop, preferrably a tire specialist shop, and have them look at it.
chevrolet usually resets itself after the problem is fixed. unless it is a bad sensor on one of the wheels. also check the spare some spares have a monitor in them.
The service tire monitor warning can come on for many reasons. A sensor may have gone bad, may have been broken if a tire was changed recently, the car needs an updated module and antenna. The system woiuld need to be looked at by a technician.
Don't know that much about these but depending on where you bought ur tires they might service them for free, I know places like big o and discount both service tires for free. My guess would be that the batteries just need changed since they're supposed to last ten years and the car is 11 yrs old.
