Measure the center pipe from the sprocket to the seats mounting hardware stem. Allow 5 inches for the legs to pedal so the center frame bar must be 27 inches or less for you to ride this bike correctly

Help me decide, should I buy a Trek 4300 for $200!? I'm getting more and more into the sport of mountain biking, and right now I have a Mongoose XR-75...yes I know its a horrible Walmart brand, Thats why I...

Are you just trail riding, or do you get into any technical stuff? I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam, and ride a 19" Cannondale. I've got just enough clearance for my friends, but my margin of error is small. You can lower the seat, but you can't raise your ballz. Also, make sure that the cockpit (I see a theme developing) isn't too long for you. You don't want to be in a position where reaching for the bars is uncomfortable. A shorter stem is no substitute for good fit.

Chain Broke on a Huffy Tundra 18 speed 26" bike. I need to know the size chain to replace or the master link/chain connector to fix the chain.

if the bike has gears it does not have a master link, that is for single speed bikes only.

You will need an 8spd chain for your bike (1/2" x 3/32), these will fit any 6,7 or 8 spd bike. This requires a special tool to install ($8-$25), I would recommend taking into a bike shop and have them do it if you have no experience with this type of chain.

Side note: if you do own the tool, you can repair a broken chain for a temporary fix in the future, so may be worth buying. Check around, many bike shops offer basic repair classes and cover this.

How to lower a 2003 zzr1200?

You will have a very difficult time getting it low enough to fit you adequately. The seat height is nearly 32 inches stock, so compare that with your inseam and see how much you would need to adjust. It is doubtful you will get the bike that low without ground clearance and fender clearance issues, safety aside.

But, to answer your question:

The front fork tubes can be slid up the triple clamps over an inch, sometimes as much as 2 inches. Your fender may need to be removed however.

The rear you will have to buy/fabricate a lowering link set. There are several styles available on ebay.com for your bike.

I would also recommend taking your seat to an upholsterer and having some of the foam removed to provide more clearance for you.

Be advised that all modifications to the ride height of your bike adversely effects your ride quality and control. The amount that you need to lower your bike could and likely will make it much more difficult to maneuver due to the skewed suspension geometry.
Please be careful!

Bike height

I think the 696 is 30" or 31". If it helps, my inseam is 31" inches and I can easily flatfoot it (lots of bend in the knees). It's taller than my 695 for sure--even with the touring seat.

Airhawk?

what are your experiences and what size did you use? I have one its the size recommended on their website. Its worth its weight in Gold on a long ride at least with the short seat, like I have. It doesn't take much air to be comfortable and will add only about a half inch to your inseam. I read a review once where they had it on a sport bike and the reviewer didn't like the way the seat would move under his Butt. Personally I like the feel of the air chambers compensating to the changing load. Almost like a gentle massage. I won't take a long trip without it. If its 100 miles or more its the first thing on the bike,,,
