Use 5W20 weight oil and a premium oil filter such as Motorcraft, Purolator, or Wix. Any premium brand is your choice. I use Pennzoil but other brands are also good.
In the summer it's best to use a heavier weight than you do in the winter. I usually use 10w/30 or 10w/40 in the summer, but in winter i use 5w/20 or 10w/20. As far as brand, it's really a personal preference. I still use castrol in my personal vehicle.
