Hiya unfortunatly you have to remove the fuel tank, which means removing the plastic infill and quite a few fixings around upper fairing and such. Have fun.

SOURCE: zzr 1100 d9 14000 mls cylinder head overhauled

Just from the oil sitting. I recommend oil flush. Also a valve job is not a bad idea either

1995 Kawasaki ZZR 1100 clutch fluid leaking

Follow the hydraulic clutch line to the slave cylinder on the left side of the motor. You should be able to see if it's leaking from there. If it is,remove the three bolts that hold the slave cylinder on. It should be dry behind there. If it's not,
find a slave cylinder rebuild kit from K&L.

Very smoky when cold just had valve stem oil seals done but made no differance 2001 d9 model

If it's definitely oil-smoke (blue-white) it might be worn rings/bores that were the problem or possibly the valve-guides themselves.
What mileage is on the bike?
I assume the oil-level is ok, not too high.
Could also be a head-gasket fault.
If you do a lot of short runs it could also be condensation build-up
coming out as steam, sounds daft but maybe v0v

Kawasaki zzr 1100 d model 19 97

find the coils and check the terminals with a tester to see if power is getting to them. if it is then it could be the coils or ht leads/ caps
if no power at coil then problem is between battery and coil or in the kill switch. check all ground / earth terminals you can find also
good luck, ride safe
