I have a cub cadet self propelled lawnmower CC 550SP 19 inch. It's only about 1 year old. When I pull start it, it runs for about 2 seconds and then dies. Then it won't even start unless I let it set for a minute or two, only to die right after it starts again. I have also checked the oil and cleaned the air cleaner. And yes, it has gas :) Any ideas? I'm no mechanic!
Is the gas more than 5 months old? If so drain the old gas and replace with fresh gas.
If that does not fix it try replacing the fuel filter.
If that doesnt fix it try cleaning and re-gapping the spark plug or replace the spark plug. If none of these easy fixes do it then it could be a dirty carb.
Sounds like the carb is dirty from dusty conditions it will need to be rebuilt which isnt a hard job good luck
