When im driving the car sputters and loses power, I down shift and most of the time I get power back. Plugs, fuel pump & fuel regulator were changed out? what next

Check coils and module.

i would check three parts , i have seen a weak ignition coil make this happen, change fuel filter and last possibly either fuel pump or fuel pump regulator

Mas air flow sensor went on my cabrio, pretty easy to fix, when it went my car would lose power sputter then die out. also could be spark plugs fuel pump, fuel pessure regulator,

I would try spark plugs and wires. If it was a fuel line you would see the leak or atleast smell it very strongly. If the problem still exists after new plugs and wires try the distributor cap.

It's quite possible to ruin a fuel pump by letting it run dry, especially if it already has years of use. When you first turn on the key, leave the door open and see if you can hear a high pitched whine for about three seconds. That would be the pump priming the system. If you don't hear it, then the pump isn't working. Be sure to turn the key of for about 10 seconds before you try listenng again(it has to reset). It can be hard to hear, especially over the key buzzer.

Check your EGR valve, IAC valve, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires

Most likely a lack of fuel, check the fuel filter first.

It almost sounds like you are losing spark at times, and not fuel. i guess the cheapest place to start is to change plugs and wires. Pay close attention to the gap on the plugs. Another thing could be the idle air control valve, or water in your fuel.

hi there, im thinking egr valve because of loss of power and erratic idle or the idle air control valve because it also too has the same effect

it might be the fuel pressure regulator, i have a similar problem with my 95 302. but mine just dies but starts right back up. i was told fuel may be evaporating out of the fuel lines, when it doesnt start the first try i pump the gas pedal 2-3 times and it starts right up.
