I have a 1999 yz 250, I was wondering can you put a compression release or hot start on my bike? I am a small guy and I broke my ankle not long ago so it's almost impossible to start.. My email is...

A 1999 YZ 250 is a two sroke, it is not possible to add a compression release or a hot start, those are on four strokes. (In 1999 it's a YZF400)

The yz 250 1986 has the same engine as the tri z

no it is not the same.

Tranny is closer for yz
YZ has no lightning coil
intake system is far different from both.

BUT fitting is the same, so switching from one frame to another may be doable.
