I have a 52 plate suzuki DRZ 400 SM and sometimes

I have a 57 plate suzuki DRZ 400 SM and sometimes it will not start with no electrics but sometimes it will start as normal. If I put my finger in the ingnition barrel and wiggle it starts ok. Could this be a loose wire or loose ignition barrel and is it easy to repair or will I need to take it to the garage.

Get yourself some " Contact cleaner" aerosol to clean the contacts in your ignition barrel. Access should be fairly easy if you remove the headlight and fairing.
Sounds like you have been in mud or dust, contamination has most likely got into the switch.
Check and clean the kill switch on the handlebars while you are at it.
Happy Trails!

Hi ther my suzuki drz 400 s on a 03 plate has a problem its runing all ok but u would think the power band wont come in when u r riding it any ideas

The DRZ has quite a broad power band, you may not feel anything. If it revs right through its rev range, this may be normal

Drz 400 sm starts but i cant give it any gas or it dies

Can you slowly increase the revs? It sounds like an accelerator pump or debris in the carb.

Suzuki drz 400sm

They should be around 33hp at the rear wheel. They should wheelie ok, though you will need to try a bit for decent ones.
