Need to put my car back in time - 1994 Chrysler Concorde

cud be many reasons--the mechanical timing and valve ajustment may be off--spark plug are wrong or not gapped right--injectors may hav issue--head not torqued right causing compression loss--mite need to put vehicle on a analyser to pinpoint

u need to put number one piston all the way to the top. u can take out the sparkplug and put a screwdriver in the hole. move the crank till piston reaches the top. then line up the timing marks and reinstall the chain.

think you have not put the timing back right and it will need to be re done. hope you used a new belt and adjuster when you put it back together. you need to re line the timing marks on cams and on crank. then put the belt on adjust up making sure the number 1 piston is at the top as well as the timing marks on the cam check this with the crank making, put belt on and adjust up then turn engine one full turn. no spark plugs fitted. back to the timing marks making sure they line up if not re adjust the time until it line back up every time you turn the engine one full turn. then put the spark plugs in etc and start enging.

changing a chain?' they last forever and never need changing ,now the adjuster ?? then yes maybe ,if he puts some white paint on the gears then its easy to put back

There is no way that could happen unless you did not put the woodruff key back into the crankshaft recess and put crank pulley on random!!!

you mean the timing chain broke??? you will need it replaced and when they do that, it will be back in time.

You need to rotate the cam until timing marks on the sprocket are in line with the head, then make sure crank shaft timing mark is lined up. Install the belt. Might have to loosen the timing belt tensioner. Put timing belt tensioner back on, rotate the crank shaft with a wrench first to make sure there's no interference. Next, check compression.

You have to remove the engine covor. Then you have to remove the lifters off the camshaft. You then have to remove the Timing belt. The top gear on the timing belt has to be removed as well. then you pull the Seal out of the Camshaft. Then the Camshaft should come out. You put your new Camshaft in, then put the new seal on the camshaft. Then you put the gear back on. There is a hash mark inside of the gear, that needs to be top center. You then need to take the first spark plug out and put a screw driver in there. you then need to turn the bottom gear (where the timing belt goes) clockwise until you can feel the first cylinder come all the way up(you feel this with the screw driver). then you put the Timing Belt back on without moving any of the gears at all. The lifters have to be torqued on. They just cannot be put back on. There is a torque specification for those lifters, every vehicle is different. When you get those lifters back on, you put the lid to the engine back on. Then you are done. I hope this was helpful.
