maybe starter jammed put it in first gear and turn the engine over careful car will lurch forward if it engages instantly depress clutch to stop forward movement, select neutral restart motor make sure you have plenty of room infront of you you can also do same procedure in reverse gear,if your not sure seek assistane
The neutral safety switch should not affect the shifting of the transmission. The neutral safety switch is there just to make sure that you have the transmission in park or neutral when cranking the engine. It is just a safety mechanism to prevent cranking while in forward or reverse and having the car lurch forward or backward.
You more than likely have an issue with the kickstand switch or clutch lever switch. A lot of the time the bike requires you to have the kickstand up or the clutch in when you go into gear, i would check both of those.
If it is an issue with the clutch the bike would lurch forward when put into gear, is that happening?
Hi Unlikely that the clutch needs bleeding unless she lurches forward when she dies It will be side-stand, clutch or neutral lockout switches or the relay
That will happen when the tines are engaged while the wheels are in Neutral as the tines simply drive the whole machine forward without the drag of the wheels being in gear. If the wheel transmission is engaged and this is still happening, then you have need for repair.
