There is nothing about changing the gaskets that will stop the engine starting, unless you left some rags in the ports between the gasket change

Should there be engine oil in the alternator housing side of the engine on my kawasaki gpz500s 1994. i always thought that side of the engine should be dry?

It should be dry. The crank seal has failed. If you remove the flywheel and stator you should be able to access the seal.

Change spark plugs and now car wont start.....1994 ford tarus

Do you have the "firing order" correct? In other words, is each spark plug wire going to the same cylinder it was on before you changed the plugs? If you have done nothing else but changed the plugs then this is the most likely problem.
If when you try to start the car it backfires through the exhaust or backfires through the intake. Then this " IS" the problem. Good luck.

Losing oil through exhaust and white smoking, what could be the problem?

Sounds like head gasget, Does it run hot? Does it use coolant? Better do a pressure test on the cooling system, Just to see where its leaking, most likely it going into a cyl. because of a blowen head gasget or maybe a cracked head. Thats why the white smoke out exhaust.

94 olds achieva 6 cyl coolant problem: after startup water temp keeps rising past 195 degrees; as it does i instantly lose my heat. temp will get up to 40 then it drops back to 185 and when this happens my...

a few things come to mind from reading your problem, first your right about the air, it could still have some in it, i know from experance they can be a bear to get all out. secound if your sure you got all air out, the only other thing it could be is a blowen head gasget. third if you suspect head gasget do a coolent system pressure test, and watch for leak down.

Wont start

most vacuum leaks are in hoses that are disconnected or have holes in them you can also take a bottle of water and spray it along the side of the intake and base of the carborater if the motor bogs or you here it **** the water in you have found you leak but it can be a leak under the intake and that is a bigger problem to find

Wont start

Check the backside bottom of the carb. there's a vacuum port there. Make sure it's plugged up. How's you timing? Also try rotating distributor back and forth. It may be a timing issue. Not enough or too much.
