Any of the yz and wrf 250 and 426 ,450 will overheat and water will come out of the radiator if you let it sit and idle. After a hard run it happens quickly.20 seconds. After a cold startup,5 mins.If you own one of these bikes, turn it off after TEN seconds of idling.ESPECIALLY after a hard ride.Basic rule. They do not like to idle. They need air over the radiator......Hope this helps

What could be wrong with my truck and why is it leaking fluid out the resevoir

If you've over-filled the anti-freeze, then it will push out of the overflow hose until it gets to the right level,

However,

If you have a head gasket starting to leak into the coolant, you will get coolant coming out of the overflow until there is none in the radiator.

03 dodge intrepid I keep having coolant leaks.i fix one leak and I get another... new overflow tank, first...then bleeder valve cracks...fixed... then radiator...fixed..now im leaking fluid from bottom of...

You may have a blown head gasket thatis pressurizing the coolant system-pull radiator cap off and put a pressure gauge on it and see if pressure goes above 17.5lbs-cheers Denny

Will a leak cause the radiator fan relay curcuit to malfunction on a 2003 jeep liberty 3.7

a leak in coolant system will cause air pocket in the coolant system around the engine coolant temperature sensor.coolant sensor is a thermistor in which when hot cool cause it resistance decrease which affect the voltage from sensor to pcm which will cause engine coolant to turn on.if coolant level okay, check coolant fan fuse and relay, if all is good, engine coolant temperature sensor could be bad or have vechicle code scan for pcm problems it control the coolant fan.fill coolant system to correct level make sure engine coolat reservoir is at full cold mark and not empty.fill coolant system check for leaks, refill coolant overflow jug back to full cold mark dont over fill, if coolant overflow stay empty you have leak either its leaking or you have radiator hoses or radiator leaking coolant.when coolant overflow jug run dry it cause air get in coolant system causing overheating problems.

IT KEEPS OVERHEATING

REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.IF COOLANT LOW, ADD MORE COOLANT THROUGH COOLANT OVERFLOW UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL IN THE COOLANT OVERFLOW STAY AT FULL COLD MARK.REASON POUR COOLANT THROUGH COOLANT OVERFLOW MOST GM CARS DONT HAVE RADIATOR CAP.WHEN YOU GET COOLANT LEVEL OKAY, CRANK CAR LET IT IDLE UNTIL ENGINE GET HOT BUILD UP PRESSURE THEN TURN OFF CAR.CHECK FOR COOLANTS LEAKS AT THE RADIATOR HOSES,CHECK FOR LEAKS AT THE RADIATOR, CHECK FOR LEAKS AT WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE IF YOU SEE COOLANT LEAKING FROM WEEP HOLE REPLACE WATER PUMP. IF CAR OVERHEATING WHILE IDLING YOUR COOLING FANS NOT WORKING CHECK COOLING FANS FUSE AND RELAYS.IF FUSE AND RELAYS OKAY THE ENGINECOOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR BAD.

Overheating

CAR OVERHEATING FIRST CHECK FOR LOW COOLANT IN THE RADIATOR COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG.IF COOLANT LEVEL IN OVERFLOW JUG LOW REFILL ADD COOLANT BACK TO THE FULL COLD MARK.PUT RADAITOR CAP ON COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG START ENGINE LET IT IDLE UNTIL IT OPERATING TEMPERATURE.MAKE SURE TOP RADIATOR HOSE GETTING HOT WHILE ENGINE WARM UP.IF TOP RADIATOR HOSE DONT GET HOT WHILE ENGINE IDLING YOUR THERMOSTAT COULD BE STUCK CLOSE CAUSING CAR TO OVERHEAT.IF TOP HOSE IS GETTING HOT.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS CHECK TOP RADIATOR HOSE AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE FOR LEAKS.CHECK FOR LEAKS AT THE RADIATOR CORES AND PLASTIC SIDE CONTAINERS.IF ALL IS GOOD ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE, COOLANT FANS NOT COMING ON.COULD HAVE FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR BLOWN COOLING FAN FUSE OR RELAY.COULD HAVE PCM FAULT.MAKE COOLING FAN ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND WIRING NOT DAMAGE OR BROKEN.

I HAVE ANITFREEZE LEAKS FROM MY 2000 CHEVY S10 BLAZER. IT'S HARD TO TELL BUT THE LEAK SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM UNDER THE MOTOR RATHER THAN FROM THE RADIATOR OR ANY HOSE I CAN SEE.

a common V6 failure is the intake manifold gasket. coolant will usually leak behind the water pump on the drivers side, however it can leak at other locations on the intake manifold gasket.

coolant leaks from other areas include the heater core, hoses, expansion plugs, trans cooler, and coolant overflow tank.

Why does my chesk gages keep coming on and my car keep over heating?

Check your coolant level in the coolant overflow bottle and in the radiator. If it is low, check the upper and lower coolant flow hoses and overflow hoses clamps for leaks. Check beneath the car for signs of coolant.
