The problem is with your float inside the carb. It's either stuck or your needel/seat is sticky or there's a piece of trash holding it open. There are several causes but it's a simple fix.

The best solution is to tear the float bowl off and take a look. It can be done without buying any parts.

The proper float level for this bike is between 5.5 and 7.5MM.

I hope this helped.

Not getting any power unless choke is on

Only running good with the choke on is an indicator that the bike is normally running too lean. The fact that it runs good with the choke on at least tells me it is getting fuel to the carb(s). Therefore it seems probable that there is clogging in the carburetor jets or there is a big air leak between the engine and carb(s).

Just bought a 1993 suzuki gsxr 750. has been sitting in a garage for 2 years. we took the carbs off and cleaned them really well, changed the oil, and air filter and we added new gas. bike starts up and...

If is runs better with full choke, then the bike is lean, check for air leaks at the carb manifold, vacumn cracked hoses, non standard exhausts, perhaps the mufflers have rusted out while sitting

dont move the needle position, hopefully you drained all the old gas, get a can of carb cleaner at the parts store, remove bowl plug under carbs stick nozzle up and spray, should be a idle adjustment screw under carbs turn 1/2 turn, also when you go to to the parts store get a can of fuel injector cleaner and marvel myster oil and put in tank. then take bike for a nice long ride

Almost like getting no gas

How long has the bike been sitting?? From what your saying i would start with cleaning the carb. as gas sits it will gum up and block you jets. the carb in bike and most bike have 2 jets pilot and main the pilot the is idle jet and is hooked into the air/fuel screw. it is the smallest of the jets that pick up gas. when you have your choke on it lets the gas " bypass the pilot and feeds gas to the motor when you turn it off it is all up to the pilot jet and if it is gummed up your bike will not idle.

Motorcycle runs with choke only?

You can try a good fuel additive such as "Seafoam" . Put it in the tank. The more the better to "clean out the carbs". Start her up and let it do it's thing. Let it just idle for a while and try to open the choke. If this does not do the trick. Then you will need to remove the carbs and take them apart and clean them-sorry. When you think you are going to let her set up for 2-3 months, run some Sty-byl fuel additive in your gas.

Won't idle without choke

The pilot jet controls the air/gas fuel mix at idle . If the jet gets plugged up not enough gas gets to the emgine at idle. You will need to remove the carbs and float bowls and clean them, paying special attention to the pilot valve. Count the number of turns to remove the pilot screw and replace the same number of turns then turn counter clockwise 1/2 turn.

My 125cc single cylinder (pulse adrenaline) cuts out at junctions

Since the bike is new, chances are strong that fuel IS the problem.
Also chances are that the carb is perfectly fine. Since the bike is new I'll bet yoy have washed it several times already. The dealer may have washed it also. Fuel is the problem because bikes do not run well on water.

Drain the carb. Remove the water trap bowl on the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Look at the gas in the bowl. Any water in the bottom of the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the petcock. any water in the cup? I am very hopefull this will fix the problem. With a new bike and a clean carb and fuel system not much else should be wrong.
