I would be looking at the coil, plug lead & plug any one or all of these may be breaking down under load it may also be a loose or worn main jet in the carby are you sure your not over revving it in the lower gears that is holding the gear a little bit to long before changing

What is causing the P0300 random misfire code on my 2001 Mitsubishi montero limited (not sport)?

misfires are for faulty electrics ---plugs, HT leads, distributor coils ECM but they are also from low fuel pressure , faulty injectors, faulty injector wiring
now you say at 5300 rpms is at the top end range so items to check are the fuel pressure ( should be at around 55-65 psi constant) fuel flow (filters , EVAP venting problem
Plugs with excessive gap, Low quality HT leads or faulty leads --excessive resistance is stopping spark at high pulses
ignition control module --failing at high cycles and coil or coils not good enough to handle the high cycles
If you have a distributor , then it may be worn bushes in the distributor that is initiating the misfire by not running true in the housing causing the rotor button to be missing spark for certain leads

Why does my Bmw 320i goes 100% but when stoping at a stop light for about 15 seconds the car revs start to change and when i pull off it fells like the car is riding on 3 cylinders, i then stop turn the...

Replace spark plugs and look at coils. Sounds like a misfire at idle. Car is trying to keep idle high enough with 1 or 2 cylinders misfiring. Car compensates then revs up as the cylinders catch and run again. These cars often have bad coils. Scan car and look for codes 301 through 306. Replace all plugs and if misfire comes back then replace the coils on the cylinders that occasionally misfire. Look at boots and spring wires on coils and replace coils that have bad boots.

Was travelling at a speedof 170 -180 with my car then l saw a breakdown of another vehicle when l stopped it only cranked but could not start it later started but l noticed it was not supplying fuel.

First thought is dirt in the injectors. What age is your c200....could be coil pack failure. Is the misfire constant? Does it affect all cylinders or just specific ones?....while engine is running and misfiring remove high tension lead in sequence from spark plugs. You will eventually remove a lead which will not affect the misfire and this will be the affected injector or coil pack. To check on coil pack condition swap the suspect coil pack over with another and see if the misfire also swaps over. If it is an injector have it back flushed to remove debris

Initial start up the engine sounds like its running on 2 cylinders under powered intil the temp gauge reads normal ???? any body got the answer please

Cold starting misfires can often be caused by either tired high tension spark plug leads or ignition coil packs. If replacing leads, then replace with a full, new set. Coils can be changed individually, but it is often the case that if one has failed, then the others aren't far behind. Some cars have individual coil packs on each spark plug. Some cars have a single pack for all plugs and some have coil packs which may control two or more plugs.

To check for a misfire (ignition failure) follow these steps:

(Cold start) (Use a pair of insulated pliers)

1) Start the vehicle

2) When the vehicle starts misfiring, disconnect plug leads or coil pack connections one at a time. If the vehicle idles even more roughly, then that plug or pack should be considered fine.
Replug each connection before disconnecting the next one. Once you disconnect a plug lead or coil pack connection and find no difference in poor engine running, then you have likely found the offending cylinder. Check the spark plug condition, lead and/or coil condition and connections on that cylinder.

3) Replace components as necessary.

Po302 po303 po316 code

The Codes 302 & 303 are cylinder misfire codes, google them

Spark Plugs have nothing to do with misfires,it would be rare in
a life time if one ever failed to fire

Forget the 316 just misfires on start up

A repair shop would be your best choice without knowledge,
reference material & test equip

Ignition coil or vacuum leak problem

I have a 1999 suburban with a 5.7 vortec the engine wont build rpm while moving, but revs freely in nuetral or park.If the computer senses movement in forward or reverse the engine misses such as a rev...

The computer can't sense movement. An engine with worn spark plugs or bad coils can run perfectly fine at idle and begin misfire the second you put it into gear or under loads. Plugs/coils misfire most when under load. Have you checked them?

F250 03 misfire diagnosis

The engine Family you have is know for having coils go bad. If you can get the truck scanned to see which cylinders are misfiring. If not, First I would remove all coils and spark plugs and Inspect. If you have found bad Spark plugs Replace with a high Quality plug. Double Platinum at a Minimum. I would not use Champion plugs. I have never had good luck with them in Fords. Look closely at the coil to spark plug boot. if you see any signs of arcing , White looking or burn marks that is a sign that you have boots letting Ignition spark arc to ground before reaching the spark plug. You can get replacement boots Aprox 4.00 each or there is a complete set. Look closely at the coil pack for any signs of cracking, arching, white residue, burning. that would be a sign of a bad coil pack.
