Spark plugs and wires for a 2000 chevy blazer

try wiggling the connection that goes to the coil, they like to become loose (not the spark plug wire).

Sounds like you have damaged the engine from the overheating.

YOU NEED NEW SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.CLEAN THE FUEL INJECTORS.BUY A BOTTLE OF INJECTOR CLEANER POUR IN FUEL TANK OF GAS ALSO.CHANGE FUEL FILTER THIS LITTLE TUNE UP SHOULD HELP.

u need to ck for spark & fuel,,pull off one plug wire & put a spark plug in it,,lay the plug on the exhaust manifold so u can see the spark plug electrodes,,have someone turn over the motor look for a spark,,,or buy a spark tester,,,

Check for spark by removing one of the plug wires from a spark plug and installing one of your old plugs in the removed wire (leave the other end of the wire attached to the cap). Rest the exposed plug on an under-hood surface that will provide a sufficient ground and have some one turn over the engine. You should se a strong blue spark. We have seen some intermittent coil problems on your generation Blazer that would explain a lack of spark. Good luck!

Chevy usually puts the spark plugs down below the exhaust manifold.
You usually have to do them by feel, or use a mirror.

On the exhaust coming out of the engine, you will see the O2 sensor screwed into the pipe before the catalytic converter and then you will see one screwed in after.  I don't know the exact location for them but they look kinda like a spark plug with a wire coming out of the top of it.  

you coul remove the # 1 plug wire (1st on drivers side) and see if your getting a spark. It may need a new distributer cap and rotor.or it just may need new spark plugs. fair warnig I am not a mechanic but have had similar problems like this that I have had to fix myself.

Try checking the temperature sensor. I had alot of problems with my 2000 blazer, and found that a spark plug wire was arcing out the temp. sensor.
