There should be a plug on the lower side or bottom of the case to drain fluid. A filler plug shoul be higher toward top of case. Refill with 90wt gear oil just till it spills from filler plug.

P0741 Torque convertor clutch circuit failure,it is located in the transmission valvle body, it is attatch to the valve body you can remove it seperately as long as your going to own the Ford focus you might as well get use to replacing these all the time,very common transmission issue with todays car. By the way it is sensitive to worn transmission fluid,when you dont service often these are suspectable to failure.
There isnt a neutral safety switch. There is a manual lever position sensor(MLP). It combines all the fuctions of backup lights, neutral safety, and informing the PCM what gear you have selected into one unit. Follow the shift cable out to the transmission, and at the end,
