Yes I did get my check from FixYa. It was issued from a bank in California Dec 27 '07 and received it here in PI by mail early Jan '08 mga 11 days.

Pero my bank says 45 days to clear, may charges pa kung sa PhP account ko ideposit, talagang matatagalan bago maging peso/cash. Also, even in a dollar account, ganoon pa rin ang waiting/clearing time dahil nga offshore ang issuing bank.

So I decided to send it back to FixYa California via FedEx para deposit na lang ng FixYa sa PNB account ko sa California. For some reason maraming hinihinging; magugulo kasi parang lalabas na sweldo yung bayad ng FixYa then sa US bank/branch deposit, may mga taxes applicable, samantalang pag pinadala nila pera tax exempt kasi wala ako sa US, then yung pera binigay sakin sa labas din ng US. So we decided Western Union na lang keso nga lang may bayad ulit USD16.

Wala naman ibang choice na maganda, pag check - matagal na may bayad pa kung deposit the check sa local bank, pag deposit naman sa US bank/branch malaking tax, kung PayPal, hinahanapan ako ng credit card to verify my account, OK lang yung credit card kaya lang may phobia na ko sa credit card info being send on the Internet, muntik na ko sa eBay before. That leaves Western Union kahit na may bayad pa.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
