You may want to go and have your coils looked at. the first thing you should do though is pull the plugs and see what shape they are in. the plugs will tell you everything about your engine and what it is doing and when. if your plugs are good then go have your coils inspected. do not try this yourself if you do not know what you are doing. there is a very high chance of very high electrical discharge to you. it may even kill you if it hits right.

Is this that Lincoln? No, you don't want to do that, in my opinion, some of those components you want to replace will have to be programmed, so you end up right back with the original problem.
This info for spare key programming.
Turn the ignition to run for 1 second with one of existing keys and then remove.
Within 5 seconds, insert a second existing key, turn to the run for 1 second and then remove.
Within 10 seconds, insert a new cut key, turn to the run position for 1 second.
All 3 keys should be able to start engine.
Sorry, that's all I have.

Need the compression specs for a 1983 Honda Shadow VT500C

165 pounds per cylinder. It can be a little less since the motor is not new anymore. As long as they are with in 10 pds of each-other. Anything less then 125 pounds per cylinder, then its time to rebore 1 size over.

Having a cut out problem on my honda vt750 going up hills and at haft trottle

Hi, James please disregard the carburetor parts I hope your Holley pump has the same specs as OEM otherwise that could be an issue and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition and leaking.
3. Spark plug gap too close or too wide.
4. Faulty ignition coil, module, and or sensor.
5. Battery nearly discharged.
6. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
7. Intake air leak.
8. Water, dirt, or rust in the fuel system, carburetor and/or filter.
9. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carburetor vent line closed off.
10. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
11. Damaged carburetor.
12. Loose, dirty, or corroded ignition module connector at crankcase.
13. Faulty MAP, CKP, O2, and/or CMP sensors.
14. Incorrect valve timing.
15. Weak or broken valve springs.
16. Damaged intake or exhaust valve.

WHAT IS THE FIREING ORDER OF 1983 V8GASOLINE BENZ

The firing order for an '83 Mercedes-Benz V-8 is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. And, here's some more information. If you are wondering which physical plug corresponds to the number 1, look at the engine's banks (it's a V-8, so there will be two banks for four cylinders). As you stand there -- you should be at the front looking toward the windshield -- the left-hand bank of cylinders are 1 to 4 (1,2,3,4) and the right-hand bank is 5 to 8 (5,6,7,8). I hope this helps.

How do get to the valves on 1983 500 shadow

Unscrew speedometer cable bolt and take the cable out, unscrew 2 bolts on the cylinder cover front and rear cyl., before take of the tank, drain coolant at the water pump, unscrew 2 bolts from water pipe near both cylinder cover and take the 12cm pipe out (there is a rubber water pipe on this metal pipe) This way you can take of the covers, just take some time.

When looking into the engine bay the number one cylinder should be on your left hand side (left bank) at the front of the engine. The number eight cylinder is on the rear right (right bank) up against the firewall.
