Drain the carbs out so they fill with fresh fule and retry starting the bike if that still wont get you going wip out the plugs and tip a cap full of fule down each plug hole replace the plugs and give that a try it should at least try to start after this,,,it could be that the pistons are dry or the jets in the carbs are blocked up,,if its the carbs jets blocked up turn off the fule drain the carbs and fill the carbs with carb cleaner let that stand a day or so then drain the carbs and fill up with fresh fule,,,to restart the bike,,,

I had same problem. I think the main connector is corroded. I couldn't get it apart so I took a ground wire connected it to my main relay coil. it turned on my injectors and my coils and my bike ran. instead of testing anything else I ended up putting a toggle switch for my ground wire. when you turn the bike off with the key if your fan is still running let it cool down then turn your toggle switch off . any grammar errors in this comment I apologize I'm on my phone

Drain the carb floats and clean with Seafoam. Gas breaks down after about 6 months and the ethanol in the gas coats the carb.

I have a ZX9R 97 B4 and on the whole she?s a great bike all be it for one problem ? starting. some days she starts no problems at all other days nothing ! in fact I?ve found that when it wont start I...

My old 84 GPZ was similar,
sometimes start straight away
sometime spin until the battery was flat.
occasionaly start just as you let the start button go.
roll start straight away.
I believe the battery was putting out enough amps to spin the bike over but the voltage was down to 11.5 volts, this wasnt enough for the electronic ignition which needed nearly 12v to fire.
The reason it would start as the button was released was a slight voltage rise while the engine was still turning and it would fire.
I cant explain why it wont start after charging

A new battery solved it, plus I ran some battery conditioned called INOX in the electrolyte.
I'm in Australia, not sure if you can get this product .
Your bike sounds like a similar problem, hope this helps

Engine won't turn over. Has been sitting for

if the starter wont turn the engine over try putting the bike on its center stand plonking it in top gear and turning the rear wheel to see if the engine is sezed up,, it may just be very tight,,,or the starter may have set solid from lack of use, also the battery is by now dead,,,18 months stood doing nothing and not chareds very often wont do it any good at all, try using a car battery to jump start the bike

95 sportster wont start. Everything was running fine until now.

do a basic test .try starting the bike, then take out a spark plug. is it wet or dry? if its dry, no gas getting into the combustion chamber. if its wet, place the thread of the pluged in spark plug against any engine metal, crank the engine and look for a good blue spark. no spark or an orange spark means ignition problem.

93 katana 600 wont start

Take one of the plugs out and hold it against the head while the engine cranks. You should get decent spark. If not, you have an ignition problem. If it gets decent spark, try spraying some starting fluid into the air cleaner box. If the engine starts up and runs for a couple seconds, you have a fuel delivery problem.
