You'll have to remove the engine from the frame, tear apart the top end, including removing cylinders, and split the cases.

Hi,,remove and clean the carb. before doing this you might want to check the air screw on the side of the carb, with the bike running turn the screw half a turn in and give the bike a rev,if it bogs more, turn the screw half a turn out and see if throttle response improves.

Hi, Shannon you need to put the switch between the main circuit breaker/fuse and the light circuit fuse/breaker to do this you need a wiring diagram that you can find in the back of your service/owners manual if you can not find the first and best tool you ever bought for your bike, despair not, I have found one for you that costs eight dollars. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have a nice day.

Is the Triumph Parts Manual The Triumph Oracle any good for my 1967 Triumph Bonneville?

Having had several old Triumphs in the past, I feel you would be better served getting a manual more specific to you particular needs.

How to split case on triumph t120r

Been there, done that, got the souvenir tee-shirt!

Rather than the "how", you DO realise that there are some specialty tools required, right?

Special pullers to remove/reinstall camshaft gears, special puller for crankshaft pinion gear, crankshaft locking tool, British Whitworth sockets for the connecting rods big end journal nuts, crankshaft presser to separate case halves, etc.

Also, to reinstall the crankshaft into the one crankcase, you'll need to freeze the crankshaft and/or heat the crankcase bearing, or have a press to get the crank journal seated into the bearing.

the play in the shaft that your flywheel is causing your issue-you need to find the reason for that 1/2 inch wobble, although the most obvious would probably be a rear main bearing.or a bent (?) crankshaft...ask your rebuilder to double check the bendix gear operation on the starter, but it sounds like your problems are not the starter based on your description.
