Theres no radiator fill, the cap on the over flow tank is considered the radiator cap, thats where you fill the radiator, hope this helps.

How do you put anti freeze into a 1997 eldorado

Sometimes the only fill cap in the system is on the "overflow" bottle. Which is actually called a "Degas" bottle, as long as it has a pressure cap on it. If you are getting a message for "low coolant" on the information display on your dash, and the coolant isn't very low, then you need a new Degas bottle because the coolant lever sensor is stuck down thinking it's low. Sometimes you can tap firmly on the Degas bottle with a mallet, and the sensor will free itself temporarily.

FILL COOLANT SYSTEM UP BY POURING COOLANT IN THE EXPANSION TANK UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING IN THE EXPANSION.WHEN YOU POUR COOLANT IN EXPANSION TANK AIR BLEED OFF THROUGH THE SMALL COOLANT LINES GOING TO EXPANSION TANK.WITH PRESSURE CAP OFF RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL IN EXPANSION IS AT FULL COLD MARK.WHAT YOU TO DO CRANK ENGINE UP LET IDLE WARM UP UNTIL COOLANT DROPS IN EXPANSION TANK KEEP ADDING COOLANT UNTIL STOP DROPPING STAY AT FULL COLD MARK.WHEN COOLANT LEVEL START RISING IN EXPANSION TANK.PUT PRESSURE CAP BACK ON RADIATOR.WHILE ENGINE IDLING WATCH TEMPERATURE GAUGE.IF START CLIMBING TURN OFF ENGINE LET IT SIT FOR LITTLE WHILE TAKE A LARGE RAG OPEN RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP A LITTLE AT A TIME TO KEEP FROM GETTING SCALDING TO RELEASE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM.WHEN PRESSURE IS RELEASED OPEN PRESSURE CAP ADD MORE COOLANT IN THE EXPANSION TANK.CRANK ENGINE AGAIN LET IDLE WHEN TEMPERATURE GAUGE START CLIMBING. TURN OFF ENGINE WAIT FOR WHILE BEFORE OPEN RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP.WHEN YOUR THERMOSTAT OPENS WHEN TOP RADIATOR HOSE IS HOT AND ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE STOP CLIMBING AND COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING IN THE EXPANSION TANK.ALL AIR IS EXPELLED FROM COOLANT SYSTEM TO KEEP ENGINE FROM OVERHEATING.

you dont have to bleed the water it automatically takes out the air when it runs and the thermostat valve opens check the level again after a run of 5 miles or when the temp is in the middle

1991 Cadillac Fleetwood. The heater was working on passenger side but not that warm. Added antifreeze. Seems to be leaking it. Keep adding. gone thru 2 gallons. How do i get heat.

If you've added two gallons of antifreeze, you need to find out where it's going. Make sure the antifreeze you are adding is diluted with water in a 50/50 solution. Pure antifreeze has little freeze protection and boils quickly. If there is no visible leak, check your oil for coolant contamination. Fill the radiator and leave the radiator cap off. Put the heater controls on hottest setting, but do not turn the heater on. Start the engine and watch the coolant. If the coolant level drops, add more to full. If the coolant is flowing thru the radiator when you first start the engine, the thermostat is stuck open and needs to be replaced. If the water is not flowing, then keep an eye on it and wait for the thermostat to open. Add antifreeze to keep the radiator full. Look for air bubbles or lots of foaming in the coolant. That would indicate a blown head gasket and the reason you are losing antifreeze. If there's no bubbles, and the coolant level stays full, put the radiator cap back on and see if the heater is working better.

Hello. I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, 3.2, V-6 which is leaking antifreeze. I'm female, but haven't fallen off the turnip truck yesterday. Asked my guy friends, so have an idea what the problem might be,...

There is no radiator cap. The over flow tank is part of the cooling system and feeds coolant directly into it (and/or circulates coolant through it). Unlike a true overflow that will just catch any excessive coolant and store it until the radiator cools down and sucks it back in.

So think of the reservoir on your vehicle an extension of the side tank of your radiator.

My 2001 Cadillac Deville got head gasket leak, how can I put in the Head Gasket Leak Sealer in to radiator?

Hello: You add the sealer to the tank on the passenger side under the hood. I don't recommend this as a proper repair. You may create problems with reducing the flow of coolant through the radiator. The best way is to replace the head gaskets. The tank has a radiator cap on it.

several reasons
blown head gasket/cracked head ---have a compression test done

if electric fans , check fan operation , check fan relay , 2 fuses , coolant sensor unit

Cadillac catera radiator - how can we check to confirm the radiator is clogged up? And if so, can it be cleaned or do we simply need to replace?

Remove radiator cap while cold. Don't open hot ever! Start car and allow to warm till thermosta opens and watch for coolant flow thru cap. If not to bad can be flushed.
