New bike 2008 k1200 gt starting problem when hot

New bike 2008 k1200 gt Two problems: 1) Bike is hard to start when hot, need to wait until it cools.
2) Clutch burned out at 1500km.

Had new battery put in and starter motor replaced under warrantee and new clutch plates and slave cylinder replaced.

Bike was ok for a month, now starting issue is occuring again.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Also, is it possible that the clutch is not fully releasing hence causing the bike to heat too much thereby damaging the starter motor?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If the clutch burned out it must have been slipping causing lots of heat inside were the starter is, all this extra heat wont do the starter any good at all, if its still under warrantee get it back as its clearly not right,, not at all like bmw?

Doesn't start when its hot

That could be fuel related or electrical related.
Without more details its hard to give advice.
If you have an aftermarket fuel controller dis-connect it and use the factory controller. If that fixes it your controller has a problem. If you have a factory controller it may also have failed. Could also be a fuel pressure issue, bad pump.
Best the have the dealer pull the codes to find out exactly what has failed.

I have a 2002 K1200LT. It seems that the battery is losing voltage and does not start the bike. It is a second new battery and is charged. When charged it starts the bike ok but after a couple of days it...

It sounds like there is something draining your battery such as an alarm. I would start by charging the battery up and checking the bike starts ok. Then totally isolate the battery and wait a few days. Reconnect it, does the bike start? If no, then its a bad battery (just because its new doesnt mean its good).
If you have a multimeter you can use this to find what is causing the problem. This can be acheived by putting it in series with the battery. There will be some current drain, but no more than around 50mA. If you have a larger drain then start by removing one fuse at a time and see if the current drain reduces to an acceptable level.
This should then help identify which circuit is giving you the problem.

82 XLH 1000 STARTS RUNS GREAT UNTIL IT GETS HOT. THEN MISSES BACKFIRES STALLS OUT

Check the cam sensor in the nose cone on the right side of the engine. These have a tendency to cause the type of problem you are having. Over time, the heat cycles the sensor goes through causes the epoxy to melt when hot, pulling the wires away from their contacts. After the bike cools, the wires again make contact and the bike runs fine until it gets hot again. Not a bad job to change the sensor, you just have to retime the bike after a new sensor is installed.

I have a 2008 Yamaha WR250R that gets "Sunstroke" will not start when left in the sun

Hi, Scrappydoosr some bikes get "Sun Stroke" after running fine in the morning then shut off and parked in the sun for a couple of hours on a hot day. You get back on the bike hit the starter button and nothing happens or the engine turns over but will not fire. Then you put the bike in the shade for 20-30 minutes and it fires up no problem.
The primary reason for this phenomenon is faulty wire connections in the Starter and/or Ignition Circuit. You may have a wire connection/component that makes just enough contact when cool to start and run the bike, but when parked and exposed to direct sunlight heat causes expansion and creates an "OPEN" in the circuit not allowing the bike to start. You move the bike into the shade for a few minutes, the temperature goes down allowing the connection to contract and make better contact and suddenly "it's a miracle" the bike starts. I know what you're thinking that Gremlin could be anywhere, and you would be right in that assumption, you can take your bike to a dealer, spend tons of "DRACHMA" only to receive validated nervous emotions the next time you park in the sun, then 1 week later it doesn't start. Start by doing a ground check:
Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary. Check all common grounds for the same suspects.
The secondary reason your bike may get "Sun Stroke" is vapor lock although this is a rare scenario it does happen.

I would suggest not making any changes until you find out the problem. especially if the bike was running ok prior. Was the bike sitting for the winter? did you use any fuel stabilizer? Change fuel including draining carbs. Check your air intake passages for spider webs, any mouse nests,... check air filter. change your spark plugs , especially if they look black. The condition of the old spark plugs will tell you a lot. Black indicates running too rich. Whitish or next to nothing indicates too lean fuel mixture. Tanish color is perfect.
