Steering too lose

From the images I have seen of the bike the loose steering could be resolved by tightening the allen screw (hex key) in the goose neck. If you were sitting on your bike and looking at the handle bars, just below where the handle bars adjust, pivot forward or back, there is an allen head bolt going down. Tightening up this bolt should tighten your steering. Some bikes have a standard bolt headed bolt to tighten the steering. Good luck!

When i start my 84 toyota truck 22r i notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust...

If your not overheating or losing coolant, its more than likely engine oil burning. If it is coolant related, possible blown head gasket.

Smoke coming right side hood

ok --we will not say head gasket problem
what would you like us to say
we can say , have a compression test done to determine if head gasket or cracked head ---but we won't
we could say take it to an accredited radiator shop for a pressure test to find any leaks
we could say to check engine oil for signs of coolant contamination ( grey oil)
it is impossible to say exactly what is a suitable answer

How to take apart forks on 1989 fxrt

To take the forks apart, first get the fork tube out of the triple trees. You'll probably have to take the top cap and the large spring out to do this as the top cap probably holds the fork turn in the upper triple tree. Loosen the pinch bolt on the lower tree and slide the fork tube out. Empty the oil out of the top of the tube. Notice the spring as you take it out. It' probably has a tapered end on it. That should go to the bottom of the tube when you reinstall it. To get the tube seperated from the slider, look on bottom of the slider where the axle came out. You'll see a socket head bolt under there. It takes a 6mm allen wrench to get it out. Some of them use a "piloted hex key". This is a special allen wrench or hex key with a small point on the end of it to fit into a hole in the center of the bolt. As a result of this, the hex part of the bolt is very shallow. You can get the bolt out if you use a new wrench or one that has not been rounded on the edges. A hex key is pretty hard but you can file a used key off to get fresh points on it. The chrome cover over the rubber cover usually just pushes down over the original rubber boot on the top of the slider.

Good Luck
Steve

89 f250 overheated and stalled 3 times. I replaced thermostat and water pump. Looks like water got in my oil as ists foamy and over filled. Truck will turn over and tries to fire but wont start

Sounds like your head gasket has gone bad. you may have noticed white smoke comeing out of the exhust. do not run this engine without changeing the oil or you will destroy the engine, and if the head gasket is leaking it will dump water or antifreeze into the oil again.you can take a compression check on the engine to tell you what head gasket is bad.

1st issue. My car has suddenly started smoking, white smoke from the exhaust, did I overfill the oil or is it more sinister than that. I haven't lost power that i can notice. Will excess oil burn off like...

You might be looking at a head, or head gasket issue. White smoke is usually due to coolant mixing in your combustion chamber, or cylinder. Blue smoke is from oil. Your loss of coolant and high temperature might be the clue. A leak down test and coolant system pressure test should tell the tale for you.

Stripped shower screen threads.

No the only thing you need is the head, if you take a close look at the head you will notice the 3 bolts sometimes allen wrench screws around stainless head, that does not need to be replaced, the diffuser which sits above the shower screen does not need to be replaced, the pipe fittings that connect to the boiler does not need to be replaced. The only thing you need is the head the exchanger gaskets and you can always go to Lowes or Home depot or Ace for the Stainless steel nust and locknut washers on the boiler. If you doing it yourself it will take you a full day to replace it.
