Would love to get a manual for this Bike. I own one since 2000 now. I clocked in over 120 000 km on her and with a lot of TLC, she gives me a lot of joy rides. However, she is a bit of a temperamental lady... so i need to ready about her..... Any clue?

JD LA110 lawn tractor with briggs engine cranks over with spark plug removed, Plug installed locks up when cranking ,

probably not the starter unless there is a bent pinion shaft in the starter, damaged ring gear teeth or something in the ring gear teeth
turns over good with the plug removed indicates incorrect plug in use and it is protruding into the cylinder and the piston is hitting the plug
the tread of the plug should be the same length as the thread in the head

Stater spins but engine doesn' t turn over

Bummer. This is typically one of two things: starter drive, or teeth missing on the flywheel.
Of course, something can be cracked or loose, but surgery is the next step.

Starter motor or fly wheel problem

The starter is not engaging with the flywheel, sounds like teeth missing on starter ring gear, when you move the car in gear, you are turning the engine, so repositioning the ring gear and then it starts. The starter needs to come off and inspect the gear on the pinion and you should be able to see the ring gear through the starter mounting hole, (you will have to turn engine to see all of it). If it is a worn ring gear, it's gearbox out and a new flywheel. Good Luck.

I have a 1999 Gilera Runner 180FXR, New bat 12V 9 amps. Starter turns and spins pinion gear but won't engage starter ring. If it does it turns ver slow or won't turn engine over. In manual it

Yep, not enough amps to engage the starter clutch, and when ti does engage, not enough amps to turn the engine. You need a 12 amp battery.

What can happen if the starter drive is not removed from the start?

If the starter drive is not removed from the start the engine will tent to drive the gear placing stress on the gear which will eventually wear off the gear.

if the starter is spinning very fast, that is a clue that the gear on the starter is not engaging with the ring gear on the flywheel. so either the bendix is not moving the starter gear over to engage or there are a bunch of missing teeth on the ring gear. hope it is the first, way cheaper and easier to fix than the second

Car make a fast grinding noise and engine does not crank or turn over at all the lights and windows work fine when battery is on.

suspect the starter or ring gear, remove the starter and inspect the drive gear , if damages check the ring gear all around, if ant teeth are damaged it will need replacing

I have a kawasaki v-twin engine (fh500v) 17 hp.I changed the starter to a new one. when the starter is engaged it turns the flywheel for as long as you want it to. But as soon as it fires the pinion gear...

Let me see if I understand what you are saying and if I can explain it to you,
You said "as soon as it fires" are you saying that it fires but does not start?
If this is the case then your starter is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. The pinion gear is spun up into the ring gear by centrifugal force by way of the starter going from "0" to something like 6000 RPMs no load speed and is held there by the force of the starter turning the engine at lower RPMs. As soon as it "fires" it relieves the force and the spring returns the pinion gear to the "at rest" position.
It will continue to spin the starter as long as you hold the key because you are, in effect, telling the starter you want it to spin by feeding electricity to the starter solenoid.
It will not nor should it spin back up into the ring gear until it comes to a complete stop again where the centrifugal force can again 'push" it back up to the ring gear. If it were able to spin back up to the ring gear at the full no load speed that it is capable of achieving, you would constantly be chewing up the teeth on both the pinion gear and the ring gear.
