What type of antifreeze should i put in my 2001

Drain, FLUSH ENGINE and replace coolant with 50/50 pre-diluted antifreeze. You should never have rusty looking coolant, some one has obviously put water in the coolant system at some point. NEVER put just water into a cooling system. ALWAYS use 50/50 antifreeze/coolant ONLY of the type recommended by manufacturer. Poor coolant system maintenance will cause overheating and subsequent cooling system parts damage and engine damage/failure.

go to autozone and ask them there is an antifreeze that will work with any system.

Edward. the recommended antifreeze is the MOPAR antifreeze. I think the additives are the reason that you want that antifreeze.

get some DEX cool antifreeze....its compatable with any other coolant

It should use ethylene glycol coolant

the type of antifreeze u use is called "Long life or Extended life" coolant depending on who makes it, like Prestone and others, u can mix any brand of coolant as long as it is marked as one of the above, this coolant is generally yellow in color.
