If the problem is about miss firing, the silencer does not come in.Have you change the spark plug for a new one, have you check the spark plug wire, these aspect must be very consider to solve the problem, check for it.If the problem was fuel ,the engine should completely shut off.Hope that clear your mind and solve the problem.

Dear all, I also face the problem. The exact answer is already given by srikantrl. But you should note that it is very difficult to adjust AFR manually. I have gone through almost 10 mechanics. No body has given solution. Most of the people told that it is becaz of valves. Finally in one HH authorized show room they have done AFR with tacho meter, That too when I approached second time . My problem got solved. Do remember ask them to set AFR ratio using tacho meter, making both screws initialize. My problem got solved now I am getting mileage more than 55. Previously it was 30kmpl only.

From the base of a 223 bullet how far up the bullet can i drill a hole so i miss the firing pin? This is for a shell void of any powder used in craft work.

Make sure you know your terminology.
The bullet is what comes out of the business end of the barrel.
There is no powder in the bullet (guessing you are not using a tracer bullet which does have chemicals in it to make it glow.)
The firing pin is in the bolt of the rifle and not part of the bullet.
The case is what holds the powder and the bullet. The primer in the end of the case is what the firing pin strikes in order to ignite the powder and fire the bullet.
You can drill a hole anywhere in a bullet (as defined above) and not have any problems.

Cranks no start or fire add gas down throat of carbs and it back fires out pipes and carbs

bikes that sit for long periods of time need there points or electronics pick-ups serviced , rust and aluminum corrosion happens over time on these

miss fires are sure signs of this to mean out of time

and yes the carbs/tank will need a total cleaning out too

I have old splendour of 2002 model. HAVING PROBLEM OF MISSED FIRE

A misfire can be caused by a bad spark plug, wire, or coil, or bad timing, or not enough gas or bad idle mixture.

The symptom is common on cars that have bad compression in a cylinder, as well.

Good luck on this repair.

My bike sit for 2 months and now it won't start.

Yes the fuel can get old sitting in the carbs, as they are vented.
With luck you may be able to open the drain screws on the bottom of each carb and drain the bad fuel and it may start.( a squirt of aerostart fluid may help it fire)
Sometimes when fuel dries out in carbs it leaves a residue which can block jets, this needs the bowls removed and cleaned.
Charge up the battery while you do this, as i have had batteries that put out enough amps to spin the starter motor, but this drags the voltage down and the electronic ignition wont fire.

Honda vt 250 will not start

Hi Dino,
You have sparks and the carbys have fuel in it.......you crank it and it doesn't fire up.....have you tried to use the choke?
After a lot of cranking remove one of the spark plugs and see if its wet with fuel.
I feel probabely the fuel is not entering the combustion chamber.
