You dont need to remjove the seat. the battery cover has 2 pins on top that lift out of holes and a clip on the bottom. just lift the battery cover up 1/2" and pull away from the bike.

Find a key hole to fit your ignition key around LH or near end of seat b4 tail light, insert key and twist 1/4 turn which ever way it release a seat latch..
