is the noise heard all the time or only when depressing the clutch, the reason i ask is that it might be the front transmission bearing you are hearing, if so transmission will have to come down again.

If you used the car with a bad cluth you may have damaged the syncromesh, it nearly always happens in 3rd gear. Sounds like the fault, the syncromesh is part of the gearbox and most often cannot be fixed without a new gearbox.

thats maybe 2 faults then! the noise go's when pressing the cluthch is definately the thrust bearing. but if its crunching in 3rd thats the syncromesh.

Part number & where to source output shaft bearings for 2003 uk reg 1.6 litre manual Hyundai Coupe.

The easy way is to go to the dealership parts department. They would keep those in stock. Or you go to a spares motor factor like the ones below. They are picking up 'wheel bearings', but they can supply all bearing parts..

Throttle bearing dry what do i put on it?

you need a new throw out bearing there is no way to oil or lube then they generally are a sealed bearing and last the life of the clutch unless the operator of the vehicle has a heavy foot and rides the clutch

Hi, i own a 2001 Hyundai Accent has run only 38000 kms. Recently replaced my Clutch set and after two months i find that the pick-up is very low and while the RPM raises but pick-up takes its time. What...

By clutch set i'm assuming you mean the mechanical units(pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing) not hydraulic? (clutch master and slave). Sounds like your clutch is slipping. Worn clutch plate would be the most obvious cause of the problem but it could be a faulty pressure plate or even clutch fork. Was your flywheel skimmed/machined to match your new clutch units? If not then it should be. Were the parts that were fitted genuine hyundai parts? If not then failure of the new units is also a possibility.

Accent coupe 1.3 whats best way to change the clutch, is it engine out or can it be done in situ

trust me, taking the drive unit out to fit a clutch is much easier than trying to lean over and f... about with bits all over the place.......

Clutch is noisy, when i depress the clutch the noise goes away

this noise is caused by a noisy clutch throw-out/release bearing, that is the part that presses against the pressure plate and disengages the clutch disk, the transmission must be removed to replace this part, so it is best to replace the clutch assembly at the same time, the labor for both is the same, about 5 hours

2002 Hyundai Accent won't go into gear.

Probably the arm that holds the rtelease bearing in the bell housing has slipped out of place. Get someone to depress the clutch while you check the arm is not loose. If the cylinders are working then its most likely the arm is disconected. If you are lucky you may get it put back in place by looking through the inspection hole but most likely you will have to seperate the engine and gearbox. Sorry I havent better news for you.

How easy is it to replace a noisy clutch thrust bearing. 53 plate Ford Focus 1.6 petrol zetec.

The thrust bearing is normally a part of a new clutch kit.Comprises pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing. You will need to remove the gear box to change the bearing. The bearing basically slides onto the gearbox shaft. Recommend changing all three rather than just the beaing. You may want to get quotes from garages as dealers are expensive.
