Speedometer/odometer does not work on a 2000 cadillac catera - the mileage does not move at all.

If the speedo and odometer are not working it could be the speed sensor in the transmission. And the speed sensor could also knock out the ABS and traction control systems.
Have you had the body computer scanned for trouble codes ?

EBTCM module. AES in Florida can rebuild for $250 with a fast turn around.

radio with no sound is the radio interface in the trunk next to the amp..i just fixed one and that was the problem $5 at junkyard..not speedometer and dash lights all on is your ebtcm have it rebuilt new there $2000

this sounds like a bad speedometer cluster, you stated everything else works so i assume the speedometer is working and just the odometer and trip stopped working and so the speedometer will need replacing. good day.

You may also have lights on dash for engine, TCS and ABS. I had to replace the electronic control brake module (EBCM). New $2000 Cdn, used-$300 for my 2000 Caterra Sport. Also you can have it repaired at modulemasters.com for $160 US.

I have a 2000 Catera that when I changed the electronic brake control module all warning lights went off, speedo and odo worked. New EBCM is $2000 Cdn I got mine used for 170. also it can be re built at modulemasters.com for $160. Not sure about the dash light tho.

I have the 2000 Cadillac Catera Sport and I had the same problem. ABS, TC light and no speedometer and odo. I thought it was an electrical problem however I solved the problem by refurbishing the ABS Module. If you bring to the dealer it will cost you $3,000. You can have your ABS module rebuilt try modulemaster.com they do it for about $200 I believe. I got mine fixed because a friend of mine removed them and soldered some loose connectors together. All it cost me was a case of beer! It worked for my car just a suggestion for you guys. My ABS Module was a Bosch 5.3. Hope this helps!

It is the EBTCM. (eletronic brake traction control module ) You can still get them from Cadillac for the small fee of $1300.00. I know I fell out of my chair too... But the good news is, yes the company on ebay can fix it for about $200.00, but you need to pull it, and send it to them. Looking under the hood, it is on the driver side, under every-thing. it is at the point where the radiator hose enters the engine block. It has a lage plug of wires, and some brake lines hooked to it. only pull just the plastic part off and send.. Good luck and i hope this helps everyone...
