2002 BMW 325xi, doesn't start after oil change

I recently purchased a 2002 BMW 325xi, I was driving to work last week and the oil light came on (yellow). I looked up at the sticker on the windshield and it was time for an oil change, so I called the mechanic and took it in the next day. It ran fine for a few days, on my way home on Christmas my garage was blocked so I parked it outside overnight and most of the next day. That evening I drove it into the garage and the next morning it wouldn't start. It made the grrr noise but never cranked, I tried jumping it, same problem. I pushed it out last night and this morning it still wouldn't start.

I read about oil changes in the service manual and am wondering if all the steps weren't followed that it would be pissed and not start. With the key in the run position I now see the oil light red, the battery light red, and the yellow check engine light.

It sounds like just a coincidence. I dont know what a GRR noise is supposed to mean. It either Cranks, No Crank, or it Cranks but does not Run. Just tow it to a qualified shop and find out what the problem is.

My 2002 bmw 325xi fuel filter location?

It is on the drivers side on the chassis.

yes you can change it yourself. Make sure you de-pressurize the system before removing (undo the gas cap).

Also...order the filter from bavarian auto or one of the online stores. The one you need is with the pressure regulator.

If you go to autozone, etc. they will sell you the worng filter.

2003 BMW 325xi won't start, dashboard and radio go on.

My 2003 325xi died on the highway a few weeks ago, and I thought it was the battery. It turned out to be the alternator, which was an expensive problem to repair. If your battery is new, it could be the alternator, or a problem with the electrical system. I find the BMWs to be too complicated electrically, which often leads to problems! I'd check your alternator...

Changing headlamps on 2003 bmw 325xi

I am assuming that you have a burned out head light bulb.
1) Open hood.
2) Working in back of headlight assembly, grasp rear of bulb socket (harness connector) and turn counterclockwise 90 degrees. Pull bulb out of headlight assembly.
3) Disconnect harness connector from bulb (gently pry, it's plastic)
4) Installation is reverse of removal. (Do not touch halogen bulb with bare skin-oils from hand will cause bulb to burn out.) Align tabs on bulb base to cutouts on rear of lens assembly. (Note bottom tab is wider than other two) Secure bulb by rotating clockwise 90 degrees.
Low beam bulb H9006
High beam bulb H9005

2002 525I Just after recent oil change I was sitting at a stop light, Light changed I gave the car gas and a big puff of white/blue smoke came out. It has done this ever since. The car has has 97,000 mi,...

I had a similar problem with my 2003 325iT w/59K miles last week, right after an oil change. It did it more often when starting the car, and once or twice when accelerating. Then it stopped smoking and hasn't in several days. My mechanic neighbor suggested that it may have been too much oil, that has corrected itself by burning off. I hope he's right. I figure the smoke stopping is either a good thing or a really bad thing. No engine warning lights or anything, so I guess all is well.
