I am trying to convert Tivo movie files and burn them to CDs. Roxio Creator 10 let's me edit the files -- take out commercials, etc. -- but when I try to burn the resulting files to a DVD I get a Windows 7 message that the program has stopped working and will close. This happens every time I try to burn a converted Tivo file. Jack

Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7.
Roxio Creater 9 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7

I like burning tivo to DVD with windows DVD maker. I use Pavtube for coverting TiVo videos . It works very well and I haven't really had any problems. Conversion speed seems fine and the videos look good. I saw Pavtube mentioned in the TiVo forums as a good way to convert for the iPad so I decided to try it. download the latest version of roxio viz roxio creator 10 (if you dont have it) .. disc copier is available in that..

I think it will not. The output has a different file name. But don't save the converted file same as the source file. Or you could try experimenting with it using a short avi file then convert it to dvd.

Also are you making its output be automatically burn unto the disc? It will keep its original file.

I am trying to burn a movie onto a dvd using Roxio easy cd & dvd burning. The problem is that when I do burn it, it burns as a data disc. I try other things on it and it says to use the disc copier application to burn a dvd. I have searched everywhere on this progmram and there is nothing that says disc copier.

And since it happens while burning a disc

You should

1. Uninstall ROXIO Creator 10 , and reinstall it to make sure nothing is corupted.

2. If you still get the same problem it's time to check your intire system for errors.

This can mean you will need to take trouble shooting steps.

1. Use another burning program to see if you can burn without errors.

2. if you can burn fine with another burning program like NERO then chances are
you have an incompatability with ROXIO Creator 10 and should consult the documentation
to see if your drive is actually supported by it.

Do these things weed hopper and all will be well with you.

IF IT CAN CDS ABD NOT WITH DVD UNINSTALL THE SOFTWARE AND DOWNLOAD NERO SOFTWARE FROM BROTHERSOFT.COM AND BURN IT WILL WORK

There is no need to convert iso. Better you go to select file and select all the avi file you need to write on the CD/DVD. The files will be transferred on your disc.
