How to instal valv lifters

Pull intake off pull off valve covers, loosin rocker arm bolts and remove ,, pull push rods out, after you have the push rods out you can pull the lifters out,,,,,,i suggest taking to a mechanic shop,,, if all you have is a ticking sound try this,,, buy a can of chemtol spray,,,chemtol only,,, with the little red straw for spraying,,,remove valve cover,,try to see if you can hear which lift or lifts is ticking,,,turn off car,,,loosen not remove that rocker arm,,,slid to the side,,count your turns,,,move rocker to the side,,, take chemtol spray and insert little spray straw and spray it down the hole in the center of the push rod ,, it will clean the lifter of the debris that is not letting it prime up,, repeat if nessary,, it works,,, see YOU TUBE,,, dirty oil causes this,,, put in clean oil and some lucas oil treatment to help prevent in future,,, keep oil changed ,,if it starts ticking again change oil and add more lucas,,, it might fix itself

I have a 1996 gmc jimmy and I have a ticking noise

It could be that the valve clearances need doing, if that doesn't fix it then put a oil pressure guage on it and check the pressure,

Engine not failed oil pressure good engine ticking think it is rod bearings how do you replace on 1997 chev Blazer

hold up rod bearings were did you get that?lets take it from the top.camshaft lobs move lifters on rotation, which lifters move push rods, push rods push valves up and down, which other side of valves push up and down valve stems, which open and close exhaust and intake stems.ok now were clear on that to see your push rods.take off your valve covers on side with tick.1.check for valve loosness.need a feeler gauge for this and specs for you truck to do this.because ticking is mostly associated with valve loosness or to tight.2.if rod is bad loosin valves but not off and inspect the rods for bends.on a flat surface.replace if bend.also make sure they to go back in same place.and repeat step 1.finally noise continues need to take in and checked possible internal damage.
