I just put a new motor in my 1985 chevy, it has 80,000 on it. when we swapped it and connected it, it wouldnt start. like when i turn the key i get nothing. I think its the wire harness,
Make sure that the truck's electrical power connection was made at the starter solenoid terminal (battery cable side). Do you have lights, or any other electrical device that will run?
Are you talking about a throttle body injector? You wouldn't need an O2 sensor with a carburetor. Assuming that you have an injector, put the original throttle body from the old engine on--suspect that your current injector is stuck open. If it left with the previous engine you are stuck with this one. First thing to check is remove the wiring from the injector to see if it still blows fuel--if it does, try a new injector. If it stops, the computer or the wiring may be in trouble.

yea i think so..and the gas puffs out of the carb and the truck shuts down..we checked the firing arrangement and i do not think its the O2 sensor..not sure what it could be?
