Have you checked the flasher? Uses an automotive type flasher. Is about 3/4 round X 3/4 high with two plug in wires. Probably under the tank or under the seat.

Have you checked the lamps? Front and rear should both use dual fliament lamps. Replace with the same number, available at automotive or motorcycle parts place.

Lower your bike? As in put it closer to the ground? Unless you are an engineer, don't mess with the geometry --- really --- you will put yourself as well as everyone you enconter on the road (including me and my family) at grave danger!!!

Get a genuine Kawasaki exhaust or GOOD NAME BRAND after market exhaust. Check at the Kawasaki shop or popular motorcycle magazine advertiser, FixYa.com advertisers or other web sites including http://www.kawasaki.com/Home/Home.aspx and/or http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/

My friend, a motorcycle is not like a riding lawn mower. Everything on a motorcycle is designed to be a part of that motorcycle. Every system is balanced against every other system. When you start reengineering without experience or training, you are endangering yourself and others. You can also damage your engine and other systems.

When it comes to motorcycles, 'If in doubt, DONT'.

Please enjoy your classic motorcycle and the restoration project you are involved in.

03 fxdl, left signal stays on when the ignition switch is off

Hi, Tim if you have any light that stays on when the ignition switch is turned off you have a short and usually not too hard to find. You are going to need a wiring diagram which you can find in the back of your service manual and a test light. The first place to look is where you were messing around installing an electrical component or exploratory surgery in the endless wire jungle just before this issue happened. This type of electrical phenomenon is almost always caused by the last person that worked on the bike, not something that just happens for no apparent reason. OK let's get started, with the ignition switch in the "OFF" position and your test light clipped to a good ground, start probing the power wire from the light that refuses to go dark. Your test light will illuminate as you probe your way towards the ignition switch when it fails to illuminate you have found the short.

Where is the drain plug oil and oil filter

It depends on what bike you have, but drain plugs generally are found at the lowest part of the engine/gearbox so as to drain efficiently. Sometimes the plug is hidden by fairing, belly pan and the like but if you lay down with the bike upright and start from the low point you should be able to find it and be prepared to dig behind a build up of grime and grease. As for the oil filter, that can be a little bit harder to find (despite being considerably larger than the plug). Filters can be the canister type that screw in and again, generally but not always, do not hang lower than the engine so look into every nook and cranny even behind exhausts. Remember it may fit horizontally, vertically and any angle between. Some bikes have internal filters that are even more difficult to locate. Best bet is a manual or youtube.
Best of luck.

What do I check

Hello there ... Well you got me confused ... What exactly do you mean by saying back firing ? If you hear some noises from the exhaust and seeing flames now and then you must first check your carburetor . There might be something inside blocking the way , then you must look at the carburators neck ... Check for cuts or possible air loss same with the air pump... After that you can check the exhausts for any possible holes on the front neck or somewhere after the neck ...is the sound of the bike any different ? Check the chain also you could need some tighten if that's the back firing you mean ... I hope I helped !!!!

Suzuki gsxr-1000 2011 exhaust valve actuator fi fault

You can definitely ride it without the servo, all 3 of my bikes have the FI lights on as I have aftermarket pipes with the servos disconnected. But I would make sure the servo is open, you'll lose a little low end power, but you won't sacrifice any top end.

How much can I lower a 2013 street glide?

Anything much lower than an inch and a half, the ride quality suffers bad! Put a lowering kit in the front forks and use shorter shocks in the rear. DO NOT install any type of aftermarket kit that moves the rear shock mount rearward. If the bike still isn't low enough, check into purchasing a thinner seat. Good luck!

I have 2008 gsxr 600. I recently had a power commander and a carbon fibor slip on exhaust put on and now at higher rps, I get a FI light that kicks on I had it back in shop and they tried fixing it but...

Hi the power comander is easily removed as it runs in series with the bikes orIginal wireing, you simply remove the wire connectors from the injectors and the original connectors and the bike is back to normal while they send the power comander back to dynojet, its not unusual for the wires within the dynojet plugs to become faulty poping out of the block as you push the 2 connectors together, does your bike have 8injectors, 4 low rev controled and 4 higher rev controlers, as per instructions You must plug into the correct injectors, if the unit is faulty it will be replaced under warranty, with the pc 111 removed ride the bike and check if the fault still exsists, was the exhaust sensor wire removed
And the o2eliminator fitted, this gives the pcomander full controll, never heard of a faulty one , heard of one that didn,t work. I would phone dynojet uk, if you live in uk, tell them the problem etc, tellephone(0)1995500600

My turn signals and hazard lights do not work. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. What else could be the problem? How do I fix it?

the turn singnal switch is called a multifunction switch. this controls both your hazzards and the turn singnals.this could possibly be your problem.but before you buy this part that is over $100. try to locate your hazzard flasher or your turn singnal flasher relay under the dash. this is most likely your problem.
