I think it takes a GM type GROUP 75 battery. If its like a Sebring? After you take the left wheel off and the splash shield, its easy.

I have a '98 Plymouth Breeze and I am having problems with the battery, it has fuses in the battery under thehood, how do I change or fix this problem?

Most of those fancy models, in order to get to the battery, you have to remove the right front wheel and remove the inner splash guard.

I'm about to purchase a 1998 Plymouth Breeze from a friend and they say the car stops on occassion they told me to purchase a new alternator is this going to fix it or is there new problems ahead?

"Car stops on occasion" Then what happens? Does it need a jump to start back up or just let it sit and it starts? If the alternator is bad the battery then takes over running the vehicle. The battery is only made to crank the motor and when the car starts the alternator takes over and charges the battery back up. If the battery is running the car it will eventually run out of power and the car will die. If the car dies because of a bad alternator it will not start unless jumped or new battery put in. I really don't think alternator is the cause of that problem. I'd say don't do it unless you can pinpoint problem.

Will not start

Open the air filter container. Spray some starting fluid in and see if it starts. If it starts, it is the fuel filter or fuel pump or both.
