Question about 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R
The first thing you have to do is check the wire from the primary coil from the dynamo, (usually black color with stripes of any color wire )check it by means of starting the motorcycle and at the same time you will ground the said wire on the crankcase "on & off ",if you can notice a bluesh spark from it this means that the primary coil is good.
if you are sure that the primary coil is good but it has no spark on the sparkplug, thus, you can check any of following :
1. Check the ignition switch because it has the
risk of stuck up the connectors inside it.
2.. sparkplug may defective.
2. If sparkplug is good, check the CDI,it may need to
4. Check the ignition coil becos it moght be defective.
or.if your motorcycle is contact point operated, check the timing and set it on right place..and also get rid to the condenser because if it has leak and it will ground
then you can start the motorcycle..
