Question about 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6
When shifting I can not get the bike to go into 3rd and after it goes into 3rd I can't get it into 4th. 1st, 2nd 5th and 6th are easy to shift between. I've tried several times but 3rd and 4th gear will not get into or out of these gears anymore?
Howdy: The 3rd and 4th gears are used the most, after awhile the dog and shifting forks get worn more. Try changing to Yamaha Lube simi-syn oil 10/40. Drain oil after warm up (get trans oil warm). The oil is in a silver 4gal containe at the Yamaha dealer. This oil has helped me.
Good luck - Doug
