Clutch fixed after oil change?

I have a 97 Acura Integra. Over the past week or so, my clutch has been engaging closer and closer to the floor, to the point that I had to let the engine warm up a bit and pump the clutch just to get into gear. I know this sounds odd, but I changed the oil and now the problem seems to have disappeared. The clutch engages where it should. does anyone have any theories on why this would happen?

Hello.
I think maybe it was a freak thing that happened. The clutch has nothing to do with the motor oil. What I would say was wrong with the clutch was that the clutch fluid was leaking or you has a bad clutch adjustment that just kept getting worse and worse. In your case, i guess your car just wanted an oil change. Good luck!

Tranny, linkage or ???

clutch, and check clutch cable linkage. Make sure there ain't no or very little slack in the clutch cable. It dies because the clutch is still engaged with the flywheel. Car won't move in any gear because the clutch prolly needs to be changed.

1996 acura integra

First off, is it the clutch will not engage or is it the shifter will not move? If the clutch won't let it go into gear without grinding the you may be low on fluid or you have a weak slave cylinder. If it's the shifter itself then more than likely with the cold weather we've been have, the oil in the trans is cold and thick, do not force the shifter, it may break. When was the last time you changed the trans oil? If it's running that thicker oil to keep the whining sound out of the trans then theirs your problem and you should use a thinner MFG approved oil in the cars transmission.

Clutch pedal is to high

There may be an adjustment bolt, called a stopper bolt, at top of pedal. Screw it out and pedal height will change.
Good luck.

the battery wont stay charged? if youre putting in a fully charged battery and your car runs, but then the battery slowly dies, the problem will be your alternator. the alternator is what maintains a car batteries charge. try replacing the alternator. hope this helps.

Clutch is not engaging, only sometimes.

Your bleeder valve is probably not tight enough or is bad. Air is getting back in your system somehow.
