Try to perform these :
1. Check the sparkplug if it is good or not,.if it will
ignite when you are going to start.if it doesnt ignite, replace with new one.but when after replacing it is still does not ignite, then its time to check the primary coil. You can check it by looking the wire coming from the said coil through the CDI..(mostly it is a black color with a little stripe of any color.) if you already found the said wire, start the motor and ground the said wire to the body with on & off motion. If while doing this you can notice a spark coming from it,then your primary coil is good.,Thus, its time to check your CDI or need to replace it.
But,if there is a fire in the sparkplug when you start the motorcycle but it doesnt work or fire at all, then you must clean the carburator.
Onthe other hand,if your motorcycle is a dynamo/contact point operated, you must check the "timing" into right settings,or give an importance to the condenser if it has a leak and may cause short during the motor will start..

Sounds like you have a weak battery..try giving it a good charge and try again many times engines will not start with a battery that turns the engine over but not fast enough to start.. Good luck.

What to do when motorcycle will not start tipped over tries to start but wont fire up

How old is the battery? You need to check if the alternator is putting out a charge, is the regulator working. A dead cell in the battery will often show a full charge state if you try to charge it. When you try to start the bike the battery is required to give a high charge to the starter. The buzzing you hear is probably the starter solenoid trying to work. I would suggest fit a new battery and if the bike starts OK check out the charging system. 14.4 volts is the normal reading across the battery with the engine running at 5K.

1991 Toyota Pickup - wont start....battery is ok

faulty starter relay, faulty starter, faulty starter switch, (not to be confused with key switch), how do you know your battery is ok? it could lose its charge overtime/have a dead cell, might have enough energy for lights, but not a high draw thing like a starter. Make sure your battery has 12.5 volts, 13.5 volts being nice and fully charged. check battery connections at both ends, battery and starter ends.

Honda Odessey,1999: will not start. all lights come on I hear one initial click but engine wont turn. It was an old battery so I got another one. no difference. I took the starter to the auto parts store...

If the starter turns "slower than normal" then the starter is not in proper working conditions and is drawing too many amps...why would you put a starter back in when you know it's not working properly? Check all your cables to and from the starter for corrision, check your grounds.
Check your starter relay... Take your battery in and have it "load tested" to determine the health of the battery. "Fully charged" does not mean it's a good battery.

Car wont start wont even crank

Make sure your battery is fully charged. If the battery is fully charged make sure your starter is engaging, or trying to start the van. If it just clicks or sounds like it is spinning really fast have your starter checked. You can remove it and most auto parts stores will check it for free or mechanic shops might charge a small fee to do it. If the starter is trying to turn over the van and it won't crank you may have bigger problems. If the starter won't turn over the engine you can check it yourself by trying to turn over ther engine by hand. You will need to remove the spark plugs and turn it by putting a socket and ratchet on the harmonic balancer retaining nut and turning that. If the engine won't turn or is very difficult to turn with the spark plugs removed then you could have internal damage. You'll have to decide at that point wether it's something you want to do or get professional help. Gl

94 z wont start

You will have to check, at the starter, for power to the SMALL wire on the starter solenoid (which is on the starter) when turning the ignition switch to start.
If there is power to this wire ( usually purple ) and power at the LARGE cable ( from the battery ) at the starter end.....you need a starter.

If you do not have power at the small wire at the solenoid with the key in start position and battery power is OK.....check the safety neutral switch.Moving the shifter around a little can sometimes allow the car to start if the neutral switch is worn.

A new battery does not always mean a fully charged battery.
Try a boost from another car before testing the starter for power.

The battery cables need to be clean and tight....and check the ground to the engine as well.

Everything else may work OK with bad connections, they don't use the power the starter needs to turn the engine over.

My bike wont start

I have the same problem and same model (2008 KTM Adventure 990 S) so injection, not carburator.
I didn't start the engine for three months. I bought a brand new battery. Lights, fuel pump and everything seemed to be ok at the first key turn. But when you try to turn it even more to definitely start the engine, ignition fails. I think the electric engine of the starter is not working properly.
I tried to start the engine driving down the slope and releasing the clutch in 2nd gear at aprox 30 km/h and it started successfully.
I left it idle until became hot (15 min aprox) and the turned it off.
however it didn't start again when trying the ignition button.
Any ideas?
