The low beam is always on the outside, and the high beam is always closer to the grill...

There should a blue (most of time blue) indicator light on cluster to let you know high beams are on.

SOURCE: low bean headlights don't work

Check fuse box in engine bay (should be near battery) inside should be the fuse for high beam and low beam.

How to replace headlight bulb inn 2003 tiberon

Low beams are easiest to reach. Open the hood, find the locking cap behind the light housing and turn it a half turn to remove. Unplug the bulb. Disengage the spring lock holding the bulb in place and remove the bulb (be sure you don't touch the glass).

The bulb base has three small flanges that seat right into corresponding slots in the bulb housing. Seat the new bulb using these flanges, lock the bulb into place with the spring lock and replace the locking cap.

The high beams are harder to get to. You might need to pull the battery on the driver's side. The windshield washer tank on the passenger side might also give you some problems. Once you have room to maneuver, the procedure for changing the bulbs is exactly the same as for the low beams (they even use the same bulbs: H7).

HOW DO I ADJUST THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS TO SHINE

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

How do I adjust the headlights on 2001 hyundai tiburon?

Pop the hood and you should see two dials (hex shaped plastic screws) on each of the headlight assemblies. One is for your high beams and one is for your low beams. You'll need to measure from the ground up to the center of your bulb and make that marking on the wall for each of your bulbs (so four marks). Then park about 30 feet away from the wall (make sure you're on a level surface that's level with the wall base. If the light says VOR, then the top of the brightest area of the light should line up with the mark. if it says VOL, then the top of the brightest area of the light should line up two inches below the mark.

Changing the headlights

This picture shows the rear side of the headlamp assembly. I've circled the access caps to the high & low beam bulbs (they just twist off (counter-clockwise) to access the bulbs. Depending on which engine is in your Tiburon, access is easier if you remove three 10mm mounting bolts to the headlamp assemblies and remove the entire headlamp assemblies (see illustration)
c173c7f.jpg You'll want to disconnect these two connectors .. then remember to reconnect them when you put the assemblies back on.

Hope this helps
